  • Failed California Smog Check
I have 97 NSX and live in California. My car had failed the smog check. My mechanic replaced the Fuel Ratio Sensor Upstream on both side made by Denso.
In addition, following the mechanic's advise, I drove the car for about 100 miles with low RPM @ 2500. It still failed the Smog Check. Please advice. Thank you.
Please advice on mixed matched tires.
I have 97 NSX with 225/45ZR-16 BFGoodrich g-ForceT/A KDW2 (Front) and 255/40ZR-17 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position (Rear).
In April 2009, I had to replace my front tires. According to Tire Rack, Bridgestone did not manufactured Potenza RE050A Pole Position in 225/45ZR-16 anymore. Following Tire Rack Team’s recommendation, I had install 225/45ZR-16 BFGoodrich g-ForceT/A KDW2 at the front.
Now I need to replace my rear tires. There is BFGoodrich g-ForceT/A KDW2 in 255/40ZR-17. However, due to my back problem, I’m looking for tires with high ride comfort, i.e., Continental Extreme Contact DW with Ride Comfort # 9.1. Please advice if this is a good idea.
Note Continental Extreme Contact DW is a Max Performance Summer tire; it is not an Ultra High Performance Summer Tire as the BFGoodrich g-ForceT/A KDW2. The Tire Rack Team does not recommend this mixed match, since BFGoodrich g-ForceT/A KDW2 in 255/40ZR-17 is available.
