After watching the IndyCar All-Star race yesterday, I’m curious if any of the NSX family are part of the Thermal Club? My wife has a piece of land (weekend retreat) in Borrego Springs which is about 50 miles from Thermal, close enough to consider driving out to look.

I’ve added an ‘89 Airstream to my stable. That brings the number of aluminum vehicles to 3: an 80 Apache Popup, ‘89 Airstream and my 92 NSX. If I could find a tow rig for all of them, I’d be set!

Such a sad way to end the year; and today it was announced that Cale Yarborough passed away as well. Two very different racers, in different ends of the sport: but both we top notch.

So Graham Rahal gets bumped by his team-mate during qualifying. Then his other team-mate crashes into Wilson during practice, and now Rahal will drive as a sub! Is it a good or bad omen?

One more year, now 29 since Senna passed away. I was getting ready for work about the time of day when his soul left us. I am fortunate to have seen him drive in person. He was (and always will be) the greatest I ever saw drive a car.

Sometimes the NFL has ugly injuries. Certainly not as gory as Joe Theisman’s leg snappy against Lawrence Taylor, but not exactly something to look at. Then again, seeing a car crash over and over.

Remembering the great one. I saw him drive in person, the most talent behind the wheel.

This weekend is the Rolex 24. It is on my bucket list, and although I know it is crazy, would love to field a team, just for the technical experience.
