    Thermal Club

After watching the IndyCar All-Star race yesterday, I’m curious if any of the NSX family are part of the Thermal Club? My wife has a piece of land (weekend retreat) in Borrego Springs which is about 50 miles from Thermal, close enough to consider driving out to look.

I may have an Aluminum addiction

I’ve added an ‘89 Airstream to my stable. That brings the number of aluminum vehicles to 3: an 80 Apache Popup, ‘89 Airstream and my 92 NSX. If I could find a tow rig for all of them, I’d be set!

Gil de Ferran and Cale Yarborough RIP

Such a sad way to end the year; and today it was announced that Cale Yarborough passed away as well. Two very different racers, in different ends of the sport: but both we top notch.

    2023 Indy 500

So Graham Rahal gets bumped by his team-mate during qualifying. Then his other team-mate crashes into Wilson during practice, and now Rahal will drive as a sub! Is it a good or bad omen?

29 Years without the great one

One more year, now 29 since Senna passed away. I was getting ready for work about the time of day when his soul left us. I am fortunate to have seen him drive in person. He was (and always will be) the greatest I ever saw drive a car.

    Tua Tagovailoa injury

Sometimes the NFL has ugly injuries. Certainly not as gory as Joe Theisman’s leg snappy against Lawrence Taylor, but not exactly something to look at. Then again, seeing a car crash over and over.

    May 1, another year

Remembering the great one. I saw him drive in person, the most talent behind the wheel.

    24 of Daytona

This weekend is the Rolex 24. It is on my bucket list, and although I know it is crazy, would love to field a team, just for the technical experience.

    RIP Bob Saget

    The world has gone crazy.

    Many Saints of Newark

I was an avid watcher of the Sopranos. Hard to believe it has been almost 15 years since the series ended. I watched all 2 hours of the movie this afternoon. It was similar to the series in the way the characters are woven, flaws and all. I’m not quite sure what to think at this point. It...

    11 Sept, 20 Years later...

Such a devastating day. My kids are under 10, it is hard to explain geo-politics to them. The world grieved, and paused. https://youtu.be/vPIXLUrIjXg

    Summer tires in SoCal winters

As the available tires for stock wheels gets fewer, most of the tires fall into the “summer” category. It would seem that the current crop of summer tires aren’t for use in below freezing temps. Living in SoCal, temps can drop below freezing at night, and since I park my car outside, I’m...

Dali Racing Coolant Tank Group Buy

In another thread here (http://www.nsxprime.com/forum/showthread.php/215569-Coolant-tank-options0, some folks were discussing options for the coolant tank. Somewhere along the way Drew found the name of the company that fabricated the original Dali Racing tank, and they are a half hour or so...

    20 Years of ownership

This week (plus or minus a few days) marks 20 years since I flew to Houston from Corpus and drove home in Lucille! Over the thanksgiving weekend I was bidding on her through e-bay, and due to a hiccup with what might have been dial up access, was not able to increase my offer at the end of the...

    Indianapolis 500

The greatest spectacle in racing, minus 400,000 spectators in person, is running.

    wheels question

I know i'm speaking about those on the facebook, but why would someone say a 16/17 wheel set is worth $1500 or more? I'm a fat five owner, and realize tire size is limited, but better than 16/17, and realistically speaking, why pay is an nearly unusable size wheel worth that kind of money? I...

Roger Penske buys IMS and Indy Car

In what must be some kind of ironic symmetry, Roger Penske bought the whole can of cheese wiz from the Hulman-George family. I hadn't realized Ms. (Mari) Hulman-George had passed away, but I think her passing may have led the way; (possibly even requiring it in her will). The whole Tony George...

    Grom USB or BT

Looking for opinions. I know that I can add Bluetooth to a Grom USB adapter, or go with the Grom BT adapter, and sacrifice the USB connection. The USB with BT dongle, a touch over $200. The BT $140. Just looking for opinions from folks who have one or the other. I would like to have USB for...

    25 Years

It is amazing to think that Ayrton Senna left this world a quarter of a century ago. I saw him drive, and he is the greatest I ever saw. Fangio, Schu, Vettel and Hamilton may be better, but he was the best I ever saw. Oddly, his involvement in the NSX development has always been a side note...

    Terrible News: Ko-nsx RIP

I’m seeing on the Facebook that Kelly Orange (KONSX) has passed away. I’m wishing that I’m imagining this and it’s all a bad dream. May he Rest In Peace and May God's perpetual light shine upon him.
