The U.S. bins are pretty much the same. The later revisions have some code patches and slight calibration changes. The code on the MCU is the same so you can run any binary you want. If you ran a 94 binary in a 91 ECU you would be performing a firmware upgrade.

The fuel and igniton maps aren't gamma x rpm. The X-axis don't directly correlate to MAP voltage but is closely based on it. I am calling it an estimated load value of 0-100%.
Off the top of my heas 0% is around 0.5 volts and 100% is around 3.84 volts.
The ignition map's X-axis is...
I revisited the Legend and NSX definition this past winter and made some significant changes and updates to it. I made some additions and updates to the oxygen sensor and idle parameters, cleaned up a bunch of loose ends and clarified the language a bit. One major change I was working on was an...
Old Guy I haven't seen a post that long in years.
If you were able to crack open a disassembler and peek at the code running the stock NSX, I bet you'd change your mind quickly about aftermarket ECU's. I have successfully reverse engineered almost 2 dozen unique platforms from foreign...
Your assumptions are unfortunately misguided. A fuel map is, in essence, a map of volumetric efficiency.
I can tell you haven't taken a look at the definition :). There are far more adjustments with even this 26 year old ECU than with any aftermarket platform, including barometric pressure...
Honcho if you are tuning for ITB's I can probably cook up some custom code to blend AlphaN(tps)/SpeedDensity(MAP) based on your criteria. Old Guy I shared the definition publicly, on this forum almost 4 years ago...
1. Myself and DDozier did a scientific before and after RDX injector power test. The car we tested on was running extremely well on the stock injectors before we started. It was mostly stock with headers and it dyno'd 276whp IIRC. The only change made was installation of RDX injectors and a...
Hey Andreas, I received your email. I must have missed adding in the VIS settings for the NSX as I have them defined in the hack. I will make it a point to add them in at the next update, as well as the VTEC specific rev limters.
This project has taken a bit of a hiatus since I moved to...
R4 is the only difference.
Never tried the bluetooth interface, IIRC they were never able to get it working.
The Ostrich is a stand alone flash module. IIRC it has a backup battery good for 20+ years.

All you need to do is force the ECU into MAP sensor limp mode, and clear the MAP sensor codes manually. By default it uses the TPS for LOAD calculations (alpha-n LOAD) when the MAP sensor fails and even has some TPS - LOAD scaling tables built in for for adjustment.
I can assist you if you're...
I've used the Moates 2 timer a handful of times and can confirm that it works and fits within the NSX's box. I suggest a low profile socket installed in the NSX ECU. FYI: the stock 32k chip is split into 2 16K sections, low side = manual transmission, high side = automatic transmission. Only one...

This is why you choose a good tuner and/or set up your tune with a margin of error. You would always tune the last column very rich and with retarded...
It appears that an AEM/Honeywell 5 bar sensor will do the trick. Using this sensor will get you approximately 2.5-3 bars of range. I have yet to test this in car but it works on paper.
We confirmed 2 things at DDozier's shop in September.
#1 . The ECU will never be able to see over 2.8volts...
This project has led me to an awesome career opportunity in this field and provided me and my family with a wonderful new opportunity. Now it is time to pay it forward. I am releasing the tuning definition for the 91-95 Legend and 91-94 NSX free for public use. The definition file is complete...
I just wanted to send a HUGE thanks out to Dave Dozier and his clients (also NSXprime members) for hosting me and providing test vehicles in St. Louis. I was out there this past week as part of a multi-state road trip. Unfortunately, our boost support test did not pan out as planned, mainly for...
Rising rate FPR - a hack designed to make the stock injectors flow more than they were designed - is cool with you because it's been a staple? The fuel requirements of the motor don't match the linear ramp of the RRFPR - period. Did you notice I specified larger, better atomizing RDX injectors...
This table shows desired EGR valve lift versus rpm and load for a 91 NSX M/T
This table shows desired EGR valve lift for a 91 NSX A/T
The EGR is pulse width modulated by the ECU based on this duty control map. The value refers to the desired amount of physical lift of the valve which is...
