Maintenance suggestions for 15K mile 2005?

Agreed. When master relays fail, they usually work when you let them settle a minute, or you can bang on them. (I've had two failures...) Anyway, reflowing the joints is easy and not intrusive.

No, I don't want to race.

+1 Youtube has lots of videos of show-offs wrecking their cars. No thanks. I like mine...:cool:

Maintenance suggestions for 15K mile 2005?

Sorry, but I'd rather keep things as original as possible. Honda builders do a better job than I can ever do. Follow the saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!" Anyway, most main relay problems are due to cracked solder joints. If you're handy with a soldering iron, re-flowing...

When Honda enthusiasts travel to Japan - a summary of events.

Great pics. Thanks for sharing! Can't believe I missed this earlier. Maybe others will appreciate the bump. Good to see that Japan hasn't changed much.

Suddenly getting ads in the middle of Prime pages

Sorry to hear that. NSXPrime has been killing my machine lately. If paying Prime won't help, buying more hardware will!!!:rolleyes::redface::frown::mad::confused:

What is the cost of ownership like on a first gen NSX?

The NSX is an amazing car. 'If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up."

here comes the manual-only Civic Type R

Great video. Love the blue color, but not all the black plastic and big rear wing. Sounds like two test drives are in order! The type R and the step down sport model.:wink: A friend loves hers!

Odd problem with water - HELP!!

Had to do this to my car and thought it would help to post another pic. On a left hand drive (US) car, the hose is on the firewall on the passenger side near the center. It's easy to get to from underneath the front of the car - no need to remove carpet or anything. (Most people will need to...

    Tire recommendations - stock wheels

Thanks, Guys. That's several new tires for me to consider... Will post back with my decision & impressions. Although it may take a while to consider the options!

    Tire recommendations - stock wheels

 Does anyone have a helpful response regarding tires currently available?

    Tire recommendations - stock wheels

Well, the NSX needs a new set of shoes and tire selections for stock rims is very limited since this thread was started. So, can anyone help recommend some new tires? The car's not tracked and rarely sees rain (maybe once a year) or cold weather. No snow of course. I don't drive the car...

Cowl shake while braking above ~45mph

tire problem? Hmm, sounds like a possible tire issue since the problem went away after driving for a while. Old tires that had been sitting for a while would develop flat spots where they'd been supporting the weight of the car. I went through a similar issue. My rotors & pads were fine...

    First time NSX buyer

In my experience, these cars are very reliable and have few issues, but parts can be expensive. They sold for $60-90K after all. Buying a fixer-upper can be very expensive to make things right. It takes time to find a good one. Make sure the timing belt is OK. It should be changed every 7-9...

wire in right side of trunk

Hmm, maybe it's the CD changer cable, which I think has a DIN-type connector (round, with several pins inside.) Post a pic if you want a better answer...

Upgrade from Bridgestone Potenza RE010 to RE11 or something else?

Cool - thanks for the information!

Upgrade from Bridgestone Potenza RE010 to RE11 or something else?

After skimming through various posts, Bridgestone Potenza RE11's (205/45R16 and 245/40R17) sound like a good upgrade from the stock RE010's (205/45-16 and 245/40-17). If you've had them, what did you think of them and how long did they last? I've enjoyed the RE010's, but only get 3K out of the...

Cut cable and use hulu instead - have you done it?

Don't forget that many people can get lots of free HDTV over the air. Check out antennaweb.org to see what's available in your area and what kind of antenna you'd need. My antenna gives me better picture than cable, probably because it's not compressed more. Anyway, most stations have several...

    Keyless entry remote programming

FWIW - I ordered a keyless entry remote from Dali last year and got it, but it took a while (a couple of months, I think.) To be honest, I think these things take a while for Kenwood to get around to making. Unfortunately, they're not getting any easier to get and it's just a matter of time...

    No matter were u park

<sigh> Guys, chillax. I've had friends park next to my NSX to protect "the cool car" or get a closer look. Of course, some people park next to the cool car out in the boonies because they're being jerks or playing a joke, but most people just plain don't care. They park where they...

    Persistent or Impatient

Eh, this stuff always takes longer than people think. It's good to follow up to show your interest, but interviewers at large companies have to wait on HR, which is usually out of their control. Even if he wants to hire you today, he has to wait on due process. The HR dept. has to get around...

    Need help!

Sigh. Here we go again. It's a small shop. Don't expect amazing customer care & immediate responses to email. They sell some hard to get items that may take time to get, etc. Perhaps your item was in stock and shipped already. Who knows. I don't have any affiliation with Dali, but have...

60 GB Playstation 3 plays Blue rays incorrectly?

My PS3 had problems with a couple of blu rays when they first came out, like Pirates of the Caribbean. Sony released new firmware to fix it in about a week. A quick google search didn't turn up any widespread issues on your disc though. Perhaps you got a bad one... If other discs play fine...

    Job Interview.....need opinion

Hmm, well, sometimes it takes a while to process the paperwork and get the necessary approvals. With the long weekend coming up, people may take extra time off this week & next. Try not to worry about it for a bit longer. Someone contacted you this week. It sounds like things are cool...

    Venting about Fellow NSX owner

Eh - it's hard to say, but like you said, he may have had a bad day or been in a hurry. If it's any consolation, he was probably in a slightly better mood after driving the NSX to his next destination. Works for me!
