Top notch product and service. Might have been packaged with more care than anything else I've ever received. Forgotten all about the crack underneath. I installed by myself and did not use glue. A tight fit, ultimately used a small 6" lever/pry bar that might be used in upholstery and slid...
Looking great Brian. Having seen it in person, just an incredible look in that blue. Reminds me a little of the tl s blue.
Have a blast at Putnam next weekend. Looking forward to talking to you after you get back.
Hi ya Brian,
Count me in. With current parts @ 21 years and 113k miles seems like a refresh is in order particularly seeing how impressive the new parts looked in person. Thanks.
With about 10 hours of seat time with the BBSC wanted to take a break to thank those involved as well as share with those that might be considering SC options. I'm 2 years into my NSX coming to it after several Prime owners. It was very well maintained and unmodified (only IHE, newer wheels)...
Hello Curt,
Your NSX already looked great and in fantastic condition and now to see a dyno with those numbers, can only imagine what an rush it is. Congrats on the final product. Maybe will have to make it to the track on one of your trips to see it in action.
When I say thanks for sharing...
Count me as one of the newbies that have overlooked the cost of having a site like this available and crossed over to a paid member. I also found my NSX thru here. Countless hours have been logged here researching repairs and mods. Coupled with a good support system in the Cincinnati area...
Sorry about not being clear. The original does look great. Unfortunately The set up came without the original bbsc tank. Thanks for the tip, will try to catch up with the member that might have 2. Otherwise looks to be hit and miss on finding a universal one that might work.
Thanks again,
Found a great deal on a BBSC with Curtsr moving up to a turbo. Working with the right guys to get it going with Brian & Justin @ Source One. Hope to be able to enjoy the boost soon. Biggest challenge so far has been the coolant tank. Any chance that anyone has found an alternative to the one...
Just wondering if thin mirrors has anyone seen how they look mounted with double sided tape over the stock mirror? Searched thru several threads but no comments on the lazy approach to this mod.
Thanks,
I had gotten a pm from someone considering the upgrade to see what I thought at this point and thought I'd share in case others are interested.
5 months and 3,500 miles into have seen no adverse issues with drivability or gas mileage. Other than the added power would have no clue it wasn't the...
Adam Carolla's car cast podcast had an oil expert on from Joe Gibbs racing team recently. Pretty interesting if you have time to listen. He Wasn't a fan of oil additives as believe he said it was all about chemical balance. Additives could have completely different impact when mixed with...
Round 2 on the wheels & liking this much, much better.
Starting over with Source One's recommendation in my search for shadow chrome, a couple of coats of black over the gunmetal and 4 coats of metalizer...like how it turned out. Hopefully comes thru in the pictures as those who have seen it...
Had some time to play around today with Plasti Dip that had picked up from Source One. Went with black on WW front lip and the ugly coolant tank. Pleased with both. Went gunmetal grey on the wheels with a light coat of glossifier to top it. Not sure if I'm feeling it yet and might pick up a can...
Only a 100 degrees. Mine is reading 105. Bigger question is are you letting Kyle drive with the top down on the S2k today? That sounds more like a convection oven, pull him out before he gets overcooked!
Think I'm hooked. How is Source 1 like a gentleman's club....you pay your money and...
Brian,
Will have to stop by and catch up with you on a few questions as really tempted to change color. Almost wish my paint was in worse shape to make it an easier decision:smile. Have watched the white M3 dip video a couple of times.
Thanks for the comment, really pleased with the NSX...
Can see why your daughter likes it.....looks a little like that smurf blue that you would see on M3's. Now you've dialed the orange one back and now bright blue on your DD. I'm thinking your not as against bright colors as you claim. Got to admit was hoping to see one sprayed in white. Have...
Just the dragstrip was mentioned, I was curious as well. My 1st trip ever to Thursday Night Lights in SW Ohio. Just pulled up, no change in tire pressure, 36 front & 37 rear as it turned out.
Lots of room for driver improvement but thought the NSX performed well. A well maintained '91...
Hello Steve,
Had been debating the switch, driving around in the dark this evening, made it an easy decision. If you still have a low beam kit available for a 91 NSX would love to get it if you can send payment instructions.
Thanks,
Greg
Count me in as SourceNSX's very happy customer. Incredible difference
The NSX is a great car but had been questioning whether I wanted to keep it as was likely never going to spring for the $8-10k push it that much more with SC. Had gone with the short gears last year and it make a...
Want to thank the many posters for all of the ideas that I have read & seen in the 1st 9 months of ownership and in particular Brian, Kyle and Justin over at Source One.
Have always been interested in an NSX after having owned many performance vehicles. Seeing where some of the earlier year...
Comptech Exhaust (version 2)
Purchased new and installed on a 1991 model in May of 2008. Has 10k miles on it. Excellent condition. While on a Midwestern car, was not driven in adverse weather or in the winter. Picture of the exhaust is as is after taken off the car to show what great condition...
