Dealers combing their dusty databases to try to move 2018 cars

Good points. The lambo philosophy is certainly going to be less conservative, it's wilder in that it's louder, more powerful, and feels less controllable (though with modern drivetrain management tech, it's probably way easier to control than lambos of yesteryear...and in a similar vein you can...

Dealers combing their dusty databases to try to move 2018 cars

Oh I hope so too! Would love to see the 2G NSX at 100k or even lower in a few years...that much more attainable for me! Honest question: so what exactly makes a car have "soul?" It seems hard to put into words. I doubt that Japanese or German designers/engineers are completely devoid of...

Dealers combing their dusty databases to try to move 2018 cars

Should be interesting to see how the used market prices cars in the next 2-3 years. . As much as I think some like to think Acura can't even give these cars away, and as much as I hope prices will go below 100k, I predict prices may stabilize in the 120s-110s. I think there is a small but...

Drag Race NSX v AMG GT R

haha, such a strong statement. Are you sure you mean any awd hybrid? (cough..918...cough) Plus supercars are not known for Lexus-like high reliability/quality as others have mentioned. Acura should be better than McLarens and Ferraris and Benz though.....

Looks is subjective so everyone can have their own opinion....but the general consensus is that the NSX is a damn nice looking car...especially with that flying buttress (Ford GT-esque). The rear is not as sexy but it is damn good looking car for sure. Many public/C&C reactions attest to this.

Rumor mill: Type R coming in 2020

Yeah no kidding. I'm not familiar with automotive bean counting, but honestly if halo cars are loss leaders anyway, why not go all out even if there's a big loss. The issue is how much loss can they accept. Because I'm sure it can be done...they just will lose lot of money in the...

Rumor mill: Type R coming in 2020

No kidding. I'm more active on acurazine and reddit...and many people are quite critical of the NSX already. I was hoping to read/see more excitement and discussion of the type R on here but seems quite the opposite. ANd indeed there does seem to be a difference between owners and non-owners...

Rumor mill: Type R coming in 2020

https://www.leftlanenews.com/high-performance-nsx-type-r-coming-in-2020-100506.html 641hp, more carbon bits, big wing, and potentially delete/partial delete of the hybrid motors? Sounds like a plan. Should be very interesting to see what they go with and of course how much of a price bump...

Dealers combing their dusty databases to try to move 2018 cars

911 Turbo S and R8 V10+ and 570S can't beat the 488 either...no one's complaining all over the internet about how terrible Porsche/Audi/Mclaren is....and yet Honda gets ragged on because it can't deliver a Ferrari-beating car for half the price.

Dealers combing their dusty databases to try to move 2018 cars

Eh, that's a bit unfair, to be honest. In this logic, many cars should've been priced alot lower just because the car maker makes lot of other mass produced cars (Ford, Chevy, Nissan, etc.) That's not to say the price is relatively high for the market and as I'm sure many have already said...

Orange to be available in 2019

Funny whenever I hear people complain about HP. It's in the same league as the 911 Turbo, 570S, more than most of the R8 versions (except the V10+). And as have already been beaten to death, the NSX is pushing new envelopes. Re-hashing the old NSX would be a huge failure.

    Good for the ego!

Unless you're a car enthusiast, and a knowledgeable one at that, the vast majority of people will see a bright colored, very low and awesome looking fast car! Many of my non-car loving friends can barely tell difference between two sedans of the same color and from my experience majority of the...

New NSX or Ferrari 430 Scuderia (or 599 HGTE) ?

Just started watching a youtuber who bought a F430 and he is a big DIYer and drives his F430 alot. He has changed/serviced his Fcar many times. And this dude still thinks his car will not depreciate that badly....lol I think the two biggest value for Fcars, as have been said already, is low...

How many miles is too many for a used NSX?

Another tip in car buying: Never get too emotionally attached to a car. For this level of car you want to make sure you have great memories in all the process. Always wait....the right car/deal will come along and you'll be much happier

Why the second Generation NSX is a phenomenal car...

Agreed!!! I'm in a very fortunate situation where in about 3-4 years I could financially consider a 2nd gen NSX and I'm hoping by that time the prices will be below 6 figures!! I truly think the 2nd gen NSX is underrated and under-appreciated in many people's eyes.

Why the second Generation NSX is a phenomenal car...

Certainly I don't dispute facts and from your experience and known factors it appears the NSX is a slower track car than others. My meaning wasn't intended to dispute those, but from my past experiences, whenever someone had praise or love for the NSX, many people will immediately bring up...

Why the second Generation NSX is a phenomenal car...

Hear hear. Bit surprise to read this after your initial response to the OP which seemed quite critical of the NSX. But agreed 100%. I've read stories of trackday instructors embarrassing students driving cars costing 5x more. My own personal bias is that 99% of the sports car owners at-large...

How many miles is too many for a used NSX?

At the risk of sounding harsh...there are better assets to buy if you want to minimize resale headache/depreciation. Heck there are even assets that might appreciate instead of depreciate...most are not vehicles though. The ONLY issue I would have with higher mileage is if there's red...

How do you know when you can truly "afford" a splurge item?

^^^Good rules for both of the above. After all expenses, I have 6mo emergency fund but definitely I can try to stretch it to 12mo as well. And any left over can be fun money. furinax, Thanks alot for your post! Definitely agreed with the novelty part. My current job has me in a long term...
