1991 auto - no click, no crank

Very hard to find the clutch switch on this 1991 automatic transmission car.

Yes, wiggle and 30 attempts. no go.

1991 auto - no click, no crank

Then accessories would not work, or? Everything works, just not when trying to start (no clicks, no crank). Headlights, radio, etc all work. Ignition switch contacts are often mentioned. Not sure how easy it is to open it (remove kickpanel, remove switch; then crack open the switch itself to...

1991 auto - no click, no crank

Stored dry, heated, clean with battery tender. Good battery/voltage. Ignition on everythings works. With foot on brake pedal, lights dim a bit. What can cause a 'no crank'? What to check first?

    1991 ABS and Tr

Thanks Kaz! I have the manual (pdf scans) but it is difficult to navigate since it has not been digitized, so no search function. Will the 'code' (hate that blinking stuff, never had good look using it on other cars) tell if the issue issue pump, solenoid or wheel speed sensor related? Would...

    1991 ABS and Tr

Will do that first thing. Last time I did, there lights were off and I did not see any blinking ABS/TCS lights. I assume the codes went away. Also (just to be sure): will check fuse #32 (IIRC, for ABS pump). Is there also a relay for the pump? If so, location?

DIY NSX Brake bleed using Motive power bleeder

I tried the small hand bleeder, but failed. As mentioned earlier, the method fails IF the bleeder valve has to be opened farther than the threads seal. In which case (good idea, will try next time), wrapping in teflon seal tape actually may make this method useable. Still requires a lot of...

    1991 ABS and Tr

In warm garage, did some work on the car (AC system now working again). In light of the ABS and TCS lights on, also flushed the brake system (main reservoir on master cylinder), and sucked out old fluid from the small (clutch) and ABS pump reservoir. All new fluid is ATE brake fluid. Took car...

    Sticking ABS Brake Solenoid Fixed

How (what did you use, tools, harness, etc?) did you do it? Both pump flush and solenoid flush?

    Sticking ABS Brake Solenoid Fixed

Best way to go about getting the harness (to activate the solenoids), pump switch (no messing with wires/shorts) and the Bleeder T Socket?

Plug n Play Harness for Solenoid Energizing/Exercising on 1st GEN ABS Modulator

Looks like I could use the set (pump switch, solenoid trigger). How to order? Or who has one for sale?

    Sticking ABS Brake Solenoid Fixed

When taking out the manual NSX last time for some AC work, the ABS and TCS lights came on after sitting in the cold a bit. Sucked out all fluid from all 3 (what is the really small one for) and filled with ATE fluid. Since my pressure bleeder is not working with the NSX reservoirs, I did a 2...

DIY NSX Brake bleed using Motive power bleeder

I hooked up my vac bleeder (for lack of working reservoir cap for my pressure bleeder), opened the rear left. Can't get anything out. May need to try to seal the threads with teflon tape as ralph cerbone above suggests. Also: planning to put my race ATE fluid in (I put that all my faster/track...

DIY NSX Brake bleed using Motive power bleeder

Looks like good old fashion 2 person job is the preferred method, judging by the issues with pressure bleeders. Or suck at each corner. Any details on clutch bleed?

    1991 ABS and Tr

Update: when codes appeared, car was parked outside (40 degree F) for a few hours. Back in garage for a day, started car: no more codes. Does this indicate that ABS solenoids are getting lazy? Car is pampered (no rain), hate to take it to a gravel road to 'exercise' ABS. What is an easier...

    Blower Power Transistor

I put the new power transistor into the blower box where it belongs. But what a PITA that was. The rear philips is very difficult to get out and in. And the unit does not want to come easily, blocked by the heater pipes; I could not get the rear hose of the hard line (did not want to risk...

Or does the paper clip in the service connector also lets the ABS and or TCS light blink the codes? http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=74925&stc=1&d=1298758380

Even so there is no check engine light on? I found instructions (from paper clip to interpreting the flashes) and will try to read the stored codes. Some source say only the last 3 codes are stored, others say many more can be stored. Will see. Counting the Flashes To retrieve trouble codes...
