It was a whole new trans, but still in snap-ring range. From old discussions here I was under the impression there was no way to tell if the part of the housing with the snap-ring was different because it doesn't have the S/N on it.

NP, the OEM bra is a snug fit and goes under the OEM spoiler so I can't imagine it fitting on anything else, but haven't checked myself. - Todd
