67 - 2000 Silver NSX, 41000 miles.
Title says it all. I drive it most weekends in the Summer.
I have Ben (The NSX Whisperer) at Daisy Auto to keep her happy!
I just had my 2000 NSX "refreshed" by Ben in August of this year. I saw your car on the lift while I was there. Ben knows more about the NSX than Honda at this point I believe. My car looks and drives like it's just left the showroom floor. Every system on the car has been addressed as needed...
Yup, I'm the "annapolis" guy. Thanks for the kind words. My Tubi is one of the 1st generations I believe. I've seen pictures of the 2nd generation and it does not look the same but I assume it has a similar Italian sound.
I have to come clean to be healed.
In 48 years of working on cars that I've owned ---
I have never replaced the crush washer on the oil drain bolt.
Ever.
Never had a leak either.
Ever.
There I've come clean.
Just to keep my end up as an NsxPrimer....
This thread validates for all time that:
Truth is stranger than fiction. and
You can't make this stuff up.
Thanks Primers for worldwide entertainment.

What really toasted me is that they did not have any NSXs for loaners. The...
Re: Attention Blitzsafe users - Help Needed!! Missing something??
What exactly is happening when you say the changer does not work (I'm assuming it used to work?) It would have already been installed with the pin swap acualp cable which it needs. I assume you know how to switch the Blitz...
Re: Attention Blitzsafe users - Help Needed!! Missing something??
By "configuration" I think you'll find if you look closely at the pins that 2 of the pins sit further away from the center from the others. A slight "Z" bend of these pins is all that is needed to align them. Freaked me out...
Both Honda and Toyota offer long warranties on the batteries. Mine is 6 years old and no hint of a battery problem. They use very sophisticated battery charging algorithms that prevent over-charging and over-discharging. They keep the batteries in great condition. Don't know of any Insight...
My favorite axiom is "90% of everything is crap". It does not matter what the cost , a few supercars are great, most are not. A few honda's are great, most are not. Sometimes you hit the highest end of the bell curve. The NSX.
