I have the original phone from my 94 NSX, which I have removed from the car, for sale. It still works and includes all the parts except for the antenna base (didn't have the nerve to pry it off the rear window!!). The first $25.00 takes it, plus freight from New Hampshire.

No it does not go out. I tested the switch for continuity and it checks OK according to the procedures in the shop manual.

The instrument panel warning system of door/lids ajar has a red light for the engine compartment hatch that won't turn off. I have adjusted the pin that actuates the switch, checked the switch and confirmed it has proper continuity in the on/off postitions and cleaned all the contacts. Any ideas?

Anyone ever heard of a clear plastic coating, sold in sheets, applied w/heat gun or hair dryer? I remember reading about it in a forum, not sure it was here on NSX Prime. Have searched with no luck.
