'00 struts on a '91?? okay for track days?

I've been offered a set of '00 front and rear OEM struts for my '91 NSX, which has the original OEM struts on it (with about 88k miles on 'em). The "new" '00 struts only have 23k miles on them.

I use the car for weekend and occasional track-day use (7-10 days/year).
My '91 is all stock except for slightly upgraded front brakes (Dali Power-Slot knock-offs and Dali front brake deflectors). ALSO- my NSX has an aftermarket targa conversion, with underbody bracing. I always track it with the top on, bolted down tight for the most stiffness. (Key here for Ken to chime in: "hack job" )

I was told by someone at Science of Speed that the '00 shocks/struts (for a targa) would be softer than my '91's (designed for a coupe).

Does anyone know if installing the '00's would improve or deteriorate my ride/handling while on and/or off the track???

bump.

anyone...? anyone...?
