In a quest to gather more information about the NSX reliability, and see what owners are encountering with their cars when the miles start piling on, I have started this thread. Plus, I just like seeing NSXs that get driven a lot.

Here is how this works...post the following information in this order:

1.) Model year of your NSX (You can add the production number if you want.)
2.) Color combo
3.) Transmission
4.) Mileage....(MOST IMPORTANT!!)
5.) Any notes about your car!! This is the fun part where you list trips, maintenance issues, anything interesting about your car. Pictures would be nice, too. :)

I will go first.

1.) 1991 Acura NSX (#002882)
2.) Berlina Black / Ivory
3.) Automatic
4.) 132,400 miles
5.) Had to have the motor rebuilt due to a spun bearing when I loaned it to someone to take to a prom. That was less than fun. Other that that, the car has been great. Only other thing was that my main relay went out, and that was the only time it ever left me stranded. For the 132,000 miles it has, I think that is great!! Much better than the 2 year old M3 I had that would strand me weekly. LOL!! :)

1.) 1994 Acura NSX (#000176)
2.) Grand Prix White / Onyx
3.) 5-speed Manual
4.) 123, 800 miles
5.) The car has been perfect. It has never given me any significant problems, and is a great daily driver. I have added shocks, springs, exhaust, intake, 3M Clear Bra, and racing seats, and would not sell the car for anything. It is my baby, and I love it. :)

1.) 1991
2.) Berlina Black/Ivory Interior
3.) 5 Speed Manual
4.) Just about to hit 150,000
5.) I was a third owner and bought this car with about 132,000 miles on it and never had any major issues. When I did a compression leak test I had about a 1% variance across all cylinders and about 3% off of a stock engine. At about 143,000 miles I ended up rebuilding the top end of the engine but nor for any maintenance problems, but because I boosted the car with a Factor X FX500 and pushed the power up to about 450 whp. The way it was running I feel it could have easily passed 200,000 miles.

1.) 1991
2.) Red/Black
3.) 6-Speed (Yes, that's right, 6-speed!)
4.) 162k
5.) Third owner of the car, found it on eBay and drove out the next day to Santa Monica, CA and had the best drive of my life coming home with it! So far, the previous owner has done: 97 NSX 7 Blade 16/17, 6-speed conversion with Comptech clutch, JDM Navi Pod with Alpine screen, Pioneer In-Dash 7" headunit, PowerSlot rotors, SS Brake Lines, and clear bra front end. What I did so far: NSX-R Replica Mesh Engine Cover and I am getting ready to inject some Botox in her face.

Great stories, guys! I wonder if there might be a thread on Fchat that is similar. For some reason, I think that their equivalent thread would have one less zero in the title:)

2.) Berlina Black / Ivory
3.) 5-speed Manual
4.) 132,392
5.) Had a coolant line go out on me leaving me stranded. Found it when the engine started to over heat! I did not let it get 1.5 marks above normal temp, and was able to limp to a friends house.
Had a oil leak at the spool valve gasket that I fixed.
Just had someone do a hit and run (or kick and run) and that will have to painted.
AC needed to be refilled.
Other than that, everything is running great :D
Daily driver!

2) red/black
3) 5 spd
4) 142k+ miles
5) Daily driven for several years. Had A/C condenser replaced. Clutch blew up at 111000.3 on odometer downshifting from 150mph at Stapleton. Coolant hose burst at turn 5 Laguna Seca (NSXPO #3). Track driven from when I got it (36k miles) and still to this day. All stock power, dyno'd at 242hp last week. Adding headers and (probably exhaust) this week.

2) black/black
3) 5 spd
4) 145,067 miles of which 80+% are highway (last 55K are mine since 2001 of which about 20K are winter miles)
5) Daily driven year round in the Great White North...snow, ice, -40, etc. Previously tracked at Phoenix by previous owner.
6) Most expensive repairs (highest $ first) a. Replaced both front steering knuckles due to worn tie rod ends. b. Replaced A/C compressor (preventative) and updated to R134. c. crankcase pulley/balancer (preventative) d. main relay (preventative) e. one a/c condenser fan
7) Mods - B&B exhaust (me); drilled/sloted rotors & upgraded pads; harness bar (prev owner)

1) 1996 (000245)
2) black/black
3) 5 spd
4) 111,400 miles
5) Supposed 3rd owner. Outside of normal maintenance it initially needed a clutch and master & slave cylinders, since then brake master cylinder, window regs (working but slow) and cat converter (covered by Honda extended emissions warranty). Had full check at Acura of Brookfield last month, only issue very slight oil leakage from cam plugs. Not bad for mileage and year. Probably an NSX Record for rock chips on front 1/3 of car! Could fix them, but then would probably drive it less. Looks great from 5+ ft away. Doesn't hibernate in winter - comes out if roads are not salty and temp is reasonable (>20 deg F).

1998 yellow NSXT just below 100,000 miles at 98,000 miles now.
No major or really any minor issues except a check engine light that likes to keep coming on for no reason.
