2005 Nsxpo Photos

Thanks for posting this pic...but this won't help my street cred when my passengers are still smiling. Do you have any where one of them looks a little more terrified?

Here you go, Frank... I took this later in the afternoon after most everyone had left...

Awesome pics - who was knocking over all the cones?

If you're speaking of the Auto-X pics I believe those are directional cones... pointing to which side of the standing cone the driver needs to go.

 Most of the cones that were actually knocked down were done by the passenger in this car, AKA Chuck the Cone Killer:

Go Penny go!!!! Chuck, did Penny beat your track time??? I hope not. That would be a tough one to live down. Of course, I'd never pick on you about it or anything!!!!

Teaser - Day 0 (OC meeting spot to Cabazon)

It's going to take me awhile to go through all of my photos, so I'm going to just post some shots as a sample. Consider this a preview:

I was glad that I decided to go a little out of my way and meet up with the OC crew at their Anaheim meeting point (I probably avoided tons of traffic by steering clear of Downtown L.A.)

Chris (CDub) offers a seat to Aussie Nico "NSXBOX"...Mike "NeoNSX" strangely decided to FLY to Phoenix rather than ride with our caravan

Hungry dinosaurs attacked converging caravans in Cabazon

Lunch gave us a chance to get to know one another...that's Nico and Mark "MCM" closest to camera

Our powered by Honda (not by wind) caravan continues east from Cabazon

Teaser - Day 0 (NSXing across Arizona to Phoenix)

I have no idea who this is, but he has John "ANYTIME" to thank for the headset

Our now 30(?) car caravan fills both lanes as we cut across the Arizona desert

We arrive at the Embassy Suites hotel before sunset (MCM's NSX has Zanardi rims)

Some NSXs arrive on trailers, others arrive on transport...I prefer by caravan

Valerie and I couldn't get a room at the Embassy Suites, so we depart for our accommodations at twilight

On my way home to San Francisco in the morning of 10/11/05, a woman driving a Ford Escort crashed into my passenger's rear quarter panel during bumper to bumper gridlock.

My all original #000001 will never be the same again.

I'm beginning to think NSXPO is a contact sport. Sorry for you issues.

Teaser - Day 5 (Solo drive home)

By the way, my NSX reached a significant milestone during the drive back to L.A. (less than 100 miles from home)

Sorry to hear that Steve, am sure it will be back to 100% in no time.

And Eric, we hit 60k mi. when we hit AZ. It was the only pic we took on the trip! (Forgot the charger)

Great meeting both of you!

Mark, it was great meeting you too. I think I have more shots that include your car (don't remember if you're in any of my photos...I'll have to look). When I'm done with them I'll be posting a link to the full-res versions so you can grab a copy for yourself.
