There is nothing more inconvenient for me than spending 5 minutes changing the oil on my car 4 times a year. It is an absolute nightmare that I now see a way to wake up from. Can't wait for this.
I'm not sure I'd want to pay for a dry carbon shoe box every oil change. But cool idea. The problem is, people who can afford these cars do not change their own oil so why would this be so beneficial unless priced the same as oil and filters?
I'm trying to figure out how the thing could change the oil effectively. Does a pump push all the engine oil into the "shoe box" after you shut off the car? Last I checked oil likes to settle to the lowest point in the engine. I love some of the sarcastic comments by the way.

Thanks for the link. I knew of the basic premise of a dry sump but never knew how it worked. Just reading the link it seems like it would be very difficult to retrofit a regular engine to have one. To quote Clutch1's comment you'd be spending thousands of dollars, adding weight and complexity to save yourself five minutes four times a year. You learn something everyday.
