I've decided to sell my '92 NSX, as I have a new house under construction and could use the money for that project. It's a beautiful car in great shape, but it's time to find it a new home...

It's a Berlina Black 5-speed on a custom black leather/alcantara interior. It has high miles at 143k, though I bought it almost five years ago with 134k miles, so it's been a weekend car for years now. I'm at least the third owner, and bought from another Prime member. I can't speak for the previous owners, but it's been in a smoke-free, pet-free, and kid-free household with me, and always garaged.

It's in immaculate shape, freshly detailed by Platinum Autosport, with all maintenance up to date. I took the car to Mark Basch right after getting it, with the goal of doing "everything" maintenance-wise. He said the timing belt and water pump had already been changed, likely at the 120k mile service, and weren't needing a change. At that time, 134k miles, I had him flush all of the fluids (coolant, brake, tranny, clutch, oil,) change the accessory belts, change the oil pan and vtec solenoid gaskets, and change the front and rear motor mounts. Down the road he also changed the driver's side window regulator, as well as the clutch master and slave cylinders. I've also changed the wheels and tires, installed new brake rotors and pads, changed the coolant overflow tank, and Science of Speed installed their sport clutch back in February, along with a new left-side motor mount at the same time, per their suggestion. The new clutch came with a new lightweight flywheel, pressure plate, and bearings. I also got a new battery for it in 01/2008. All oil changes have been with Mobil 1 10w-30 and OEM oil filters. Maintenance-wise there isn't much on the car I haven't changed during my ownership. The tranny is not in snap ring range.

In terms of service records, I didn't keep my records from Mark Basch, as I had intended to have him print my history when I decided to sell the car. This idea didn't work out when he unexpectedly closed his shop and left town, unfortunately. I have the records from the clutch and motor mount change at Science of Speed earlier this year, as well as the new battery purchase in '08, though.

The only problems on the car are that the front fenders rub on the tires on curbs due to the lowering, and that the speedometer sometimes sticks due to the aftermarket gauge faces. The fender issue could be fixed by either having a body shop roll them, raising the car a little, or by switching to a narrower 215 tire from the 225 currently used. The last two pictures below show the light damage to the fenders from the rubbing. The speedometer issue could be fixed by pulling the cluster and cleaning up the area around the needle or removing the aftermarket gauge faces. Personally I never found either issue bothersome enough to want to address, as was also the case with the prior owner. The engine and transmission are mechanically sound with no issues, and a compression test showed excellent and close results, meaning the motor is still running strong. The chassis is straight and true, and has never had any damage.

Also included with the car but not pictured are the original windshield wipers, spare tire and its mount, and the engine cover that goes between the engine and hatch glass.

It has a clean title, no lien holders on the title, and has never been in any accidents.

I'm asking $23,000 OBO, but mostly firm. No trades, car brokers, or offers in the -teens, please.
