Alcantara for Door Inserts, Shift Boots from Carbon 6

Hi
i think hr 306 i sent email to your web site.
I need enough for 2 seats.
Na1 type r

cheers peter.

Peter I did not see your email. please resend to [email protected].

The HR306 material is a "topic" material. It is designed for door panels, Dash or headliners etc. The material has a stretch to it. Although it would work, I would not recommend it for use on seats. You would want a material with a thicker backing like the AM102 or the P series (perforated).

Just received more black in stock

Hi Jeff
Which black do you recomend for the NSX R Recaro seats.
I see you have 2 black but which is the correct one?

Peter.

Still have a limited supply of Black Alcantara in stock. This material is perfect for headliners, A pillars, Door inserts, Dash and even seats. PM me for special pricing.

Hi Jeff, Earlier you said "you will still need to stich these yourself..". Does that mean that they come either precut and require only stitching, marked for where to cut or just "enough" fabric to fit the mold and "good luck"? ;)

I have found that depending on the weight of the material and the look a person is going for, the boots can be made in different ways. Some like a more full (pillow shape) boot. Others like a crisper look.

Currently, due to the demand on the raw material, I am only selling cut yardage. If you want a boot or e-brake cover I can get you enough material to complete the work. You would just need to find someone that can stitch it the way you want.

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Jeff

I just received some of the new 2010 pre-production Alcantara. These materials will be available in Feb 2010.

Red (mini perforated) with black backing
Charcoal (mini perforated) with black backing

We will also have these sourced for Downforce's seat project.

I know it's going to be pornographic but can you show a pic of the mugen scarlett red next to red perforated?

The Scarlet Red is sold out and no longer available. I sent the last few yards to Downforce for their Type R Seat project.

The Red Perforated material is called Arlant Red, It is an Italian spec' color for a well known car manufacturer  I will be special ordering this material in both Perforated Black backing (as pictured) and Non-perforated.

Nooo! Dammit I was really going to switch over. Hmm well do you ever come across any blue alcanteras?

I just got my Alcantara in Red Perforated.

I have to say but I was very impressed with the quality of this material.

I can wait to get into this project this weekend.

Just ordered 2 running yards from you off of ebay, care to hook me up with a complimentary perforated shift knob cut out? . Car will be featured in Modified magazine.

Thank you. Make sure you post pictures of your completed project. I should have a swatch you can use for your shift knob. I'll send that along.

You answered everyone but me:confused:

Are you looking to match the stock blue interior? If so, I don't have a blue interior car locally. I send some swatches for Blue and Takata Green to Downforce to match. If we find material that matches I can order from Italy.

Yes I was. Cool will you update this thread or will there be an announcement from them? Thanks!

Do you have the black round perforated material with the silver/grey backing?

The short answer is no. Keep in mind these materials do not come from a catalog. They are all custom made for an application. In some cases material may be discontinued or an automotive manufacturer changes a color for a new model year. Then there may be stock sitting and would be available. I can order any material color or design but it would need to be made. Special order minimums range from 30-60 yards. I do buy quite a bit of discontinued new stock and/or end roll material. Generally, I only order what I think I can sell.

I wanted to thank Jeff for the Alcantara,

I installed everything this weekend and I loved it.

I have a bit left so I might do my center console.

I'll post pix if I do.

although I think the pattern runs one way. I might have to take that second panel out and flip the material.
