Anyone know if it's possible, and if so, how to remove the OEM red needles from the OEM Tachometer and Speedometer?

Anyone know if you can remove the red tach and speedometer needles from the meters?

There has been a few threads on this. Some have been able to pry them off using a fork or small pry tool. The issue is, in some cases, the motor/actuator gets damaged when you pry on them. There is also the question of calibration when new needles are reinstalled.
Sounds like it's not worth attempting. Thanks for the info!
If you are gonna try this practice on a spare junk cluster from a civic you can grab from a wrecker for cheap. More often than not this will not go well because those damn needles are on there tight.
