Any idea of what this orphan connector does? Vehicle is a 1994 JDM RHD. Not the standard Mitsumi shell used in the rest of the vehicle.

A six pin connector shell
colors are:
yellow/silver with silver dots
yellow/red with silver dots
black with silver dots.

/Also the bronze washer was in the ashtray, does it belong to the vehicle?

Hi, drew.

The connector is for the factory fitted optional accessary, Speed alarm unit.
It will start generating annoying 'chime' from just below 70mph.

That washer size looked similar to the ones used behind the dashboard mounting point on some of the NSX (not all of them are using it) for interior panel alignment purpose but I thought it was more like silver-ish colour so could be wrong.

Thanks Kaz.

Got it, a connector for JDM bling.

The washer, now a shim, makes sense as the dash has evidence of an R&R. There are mismatched and leftover fasteners along with missing minor NVH parts.

I am conducting a AT to MT conversion and trying to make the car factory fresh along the way.

Where would this shim be installed?
