Anyone with the guts to claim this nsx?

A few weekends ago i was at an exotic car show and right as i was leaving a red nsx pulled up. It was a red/tan auto NSX-T. Went to get a good close-up pic and absolutely could <font size=+1color=red>NOT</font> believe the shape of the tires on this thing. They were bald AND cording all the way around. It was disguisting. Anyone know this car?

you'd be amazed at the ammount of people that get a very nice car like the nsx, and don't perform regular maintence on it. i see it all too often.... a guy forgets to put oil in his porsche and it locks up, a lady doesn't pay atention and accadentaly puts diesel in her car, not putting anti-freeze in regularly... its sad realy, that someone w/ such a fine car would be so forgetfull or nieve to the actual state of their car. it's gona be a shock to that guy when he's going down the road and his left rear tire blows out, i tell ya that

I had tires just like that on the back of my last NSX. I noticed it entirely on accident too. While having the oil changed, I decided to walk over a snoop around underneath it. I was shocked to see them that way. The car was lowered and the inside of the tires were showing all the belts yet the outside almost looked new. I pay a little more attention now on my new one as it is also lowered.

you probably had some bad camber problems...it sounds to me like you have springs right? generaly there are camber problems on lowered cars w/ big rims. i don't know why, but thats just what i've noticed. uneven treadware gets very expensive if you have realy good tires. when i get larger rims i'm getting Tein HE coilovers b/c they have camber plates

Looks like typical inside wear on the fronts and a bit too much camber on the rears. The owner should probably consider reducing from camber below OEM spec and putting rear camber back to OEM spec.

true - what's the big deal? What you saw was normal NSX tire wear. New rubber and presto, you're happy.

Erm, I understand rear NSX tires wear quickly and evenly because of their camber settings. Cords coming out all the way around doesn't exactly look _normal_ to me. I dont think i would tell the owner his tires are in normal shape. I'd tell him/her to get some new tires.

They're just getting their money's worth out of those tires.

My fronts are just about to cord on the insides... when they do, THEN I'll replace them... never before. I need to save that money for track tires.

The rear tires wear quickly but evenly, if you're driving the car the way it was designed to be driven, with a fair amount of aggressive cornering.

The front tires tend to wear unevenly, wearing the inside edge of the tread out first. But they last quite a long time, three times as long as the front tires, in my experience.
