Hi all...long time NSX owner here, Zanardi, NA2 Coupe, etc. Presently have a ultra-low mile 93 that I love. Anyway, I just bought a 22 Type S with delivery miles from McLaren Boston. When it arrived out West on the truck, it was missing the window sticker and, of course the cool pen and stuff Acura sent to the the first owner. My car went from dealer to dealer, and I am the first "owner" if you will. FYI, car #288.

Anyone know how to get the numbered pen? Window sticker? Do you suppose Acura still has the welcome kit at command central, waiting for the first owner to contact them?

Love the car, just geeking out over the little details. Any help would be most appreciated.

Can you call dealer #1 to see If they have it, Might be on the GM's desk..:sneaky:

We actually saw this car in person while visiting the dealership. Once the GM found out who we were, he goes "You really need to see this car in our inventory and leads us to the NSX". hahaha. Your car is the Long Beach Blue right?

There is some history on the FB page, we can try to find it for you....I think it traded hands a few times so it may be hard to find what you are looking for. Great car we were tempted to get it if we had more garage space. This was our first color choice. Pretty sure we have some photos of the car.

Did you see their black 765LT in the showroom?

Check out out Type-S review here if you want to know more info. congrats on your purchase!

Acura did a "build sheet" and those were mailed to the original selling Acura dealer, find them on carafe and contact the GM, probably sitting on the GM's desk as it was their job to mail it to the original owner, if they have not already.

The Type S “did” come with a pen and some Tumi goodies, all mailed directly by Acura.

I just Googled his name and it looks like Lee moved to Rivian 2 years ago.
He shared a huge amount of intel with me over the years.
Regarding the bumpers used on the Type S, he had said the company had planned to do a refresh fairly early on and spent a ton of money on redesigned the front and rear bumpers. At the end of the day, those bumpers were only used for that small number of cars during the Type S run.

UPDATE: I got in contact with the original owner, and he was kind enough to send me the original window sticker, for which I was very grateful. The pen, unfortunately, is MIA.

Looks incredible! I have the same spec, sans the XM radio. Haven't driven mine in months, going through withdrawal.

Also experiencing withdrawal, Mike!
Jan 4th I got out for 20 miles, but now real winter has set in... . .

Do you guys keep the car on a trickle charger/battery tender when not in use for an extended period? And what timeframe would constitute an extended period?

I have the oem 12v charger system, and will run the car at idle in sport+ every 6-8 weeks or so to juice up the Li batts

Many here have been NC1 model owners much longer than I have, but so far this is working for me.

Any time mine sits for more than say four-five (4-5) days I put it on the OEM C-Tech battery tender. Note that I also utilize Deltran Battery Tender Juniors with continued success. So yes, any decent quality battery tender will do it.
And then per the owner's manual and many fellow Primers such as DocJohn (as above), once a month I do my best to get it out and preferably DRIVE it (rather than just idling it) for 10 to 15 miles/ 15-20 minutes in Sport Plus mode to keep the LiOn battery optimized.

They do, the owners manuals are in the trunk. Most folks dont know that and never bother to look back there.

I know. Guilty. I had to have our NSX specialist show me where they were and some other things too.

The NSX has claimed another victim. I looked all around the trunk, where is this secret spot? I looked in the area with the tire repair kit but found no other nook fit for manuals.
