Hi I am reposting this as a new thread regarding the 91 Yellow NSX in Portland, OR area... Um... i dunno how to post a link so if you would like to see the car please check out this link

YES YES YES!!! This is the car I've been looking for in terms of visuals!!!

Perfect in a way that it's yellow and perfect in a way that it's got the new wheels. I don't mind too much about it's previous records as long as they've all been fixed correctly and as long as the car drives perfectly right now. I'm not too worried about the mileage as long as it's under 100,000, the vin number shows that it is a 5 speed. I don't care about the resale value AT ALL as long as the car doesn't stop running... and the price is almost 10K lower than my expected budget which means I can almost buy this car right away!!!
Now I am just getting too excited over this vehicle and somebody needs to calm me down and educate me regarding what I need to do to not screw up my first NSX buying experience. As some of you already know from my posts, I've been waiting for a looooooong time to buy the car of my dreams(yes that would be an NSX), and still being a college student, 30K is a lot of money to come up on my own. $20K took me 6 years to save and I don't want to throw away my 6 years worth of my money to buy a completely beat up NSX that looks like a 97...

Now I beg those of you who can help me. Can you please find out anything that I should be aware of, or anything I need to know about this specific car? Anybody out there who can do the vin check? Anybody out there who can perhaps stop by and check this vehicle out for me in Portland OR area? This really means a lot to me and I really really hope this is the right car for me.

Please help... god I'm so desperate...

one thing you have to learn is CASH is KING!!. so dont be desperate, since you are the one with cash on hand. make the seller desperate. never make the seller realize that your are desperate for his car because then you loose all your bargaining tools

I could possibly take a look if you get the particulars on where it is, etc.

Honestly though, I can't imagine a fully repainted 91 going for less than $22K being something you would want.

However, I am still in Portland for the next couple of weeks and depending on where it is could possibly swing by and take a look -

Well it looks like might of found what you have been looking for. Dont let your emotions run away with you.

You might see if Chris at Science of Speed can run down to Portland, OR and take a look at it for you. I think he is pretty knowledgable and he is in that area. Plus it gives him an accuse to take is car out for the weekend.

If you get this car you will have to bring it down to Dallas in Nov for the NSXEXPO. I will be there with my Sapphire Blue NSX. I am hoping to have finish building my NSX-R wing to show it off.

Good Luck on the car. I hope it works out to be the car you want. Just be a little cautious.

I live in Portland, and have no problem taking a look at the car for you...as long as I can work it into my schedule.

regardless of if I approve of it or not, I would highly recommend at least getting a compression test on the car before you buy.

Eddie Nakato - his handle at nsxprime is "Edo" - lives in Vancouver, WA, just across the bridge from Portland, OR. Though I can't speak for him, he seems like the sort who would help if he had time, lives close, and knows the NSX inside and out. You can get his profile by searching this forum's archives for posts by "Edo" - I'd do the search, but I'm LAZY.
 
Hopefully someone else here can get a look for you, I was going to give it a shot this weekend, but time is running away from me...

To get Morgan to look at it you would probably need to get it to Acura of Portland.

Since the paint and body work is probably the main concern here, and if you can get the car in to have a professional look at it, 'Dave' from 'Roth and Miller Auto Body' would be your man - (503) 257-9255

Yea i'm looking for a nsx too...the pic looked really good, but found out that it has been in accidents and has a salvage title with it. Thats why it has a new paint job.
