Can't use @hotmail.ca email address

I will be disconnecting service with my internet provider in < 2 weeks so I need to change my email address to @hotmail.ca but it won't let me.

I will not have a "legit" email address for the next unknown # of months as I will be all over the world.

What can I do now???????
