Carbon Dash kit pros/cons?

I've wanted a carbon dash kit for a while to update the interior, but am a little worried about it peeling off one day and having my dash end up looking like crap. what's the life span of these kits?
Should I avoid the kits on Ebay for $249-$299 or is that the best deal?
