I'm not exactly an awesome photographer, but I can tell you that this hood is automotive pornography in person!

Price: $700.

Again, we feel the price to be extremely reasonable, given competition pricing and the fact that it's not cheap to make carbon fiber anything for such a limited quantity car.

What's the weight savings compared to the stock hood?

Very nice.

A question for those who must carry their spare tires. What if the scoop is less angled and/or a less deep dish. I am thinking if you shortened the scoop by about 2" perhaps, wouldn't it then clear the spare? I know this will cause the angle of the mesh to be flatter but so what? TIA.

hell Ill take one as well

SPA: I wasn't sure what the demand would be for an '02 plus version. I have to make at least ten in order to keep costs reasonable - if there is sufficient demand, I will begin prototyping immediately.

Hrant: We'll be test fitting the hood this weekend, and I'll let you know about the spare tire clearance issue.

SoCalDude: I'll get this thing on a scale asap.

All: I will update shipment information as soon as I get it!

Thanks for the interest!

Could you show the underside as well? How is this mounted? Do you think you might have any with weave imperfections available for less, to be painted? Thanks.

I'm interested as well. Take some pics of the underside. I will most likely paint mine, is there anything I need to know to prep it?

Ill take one if itll clear the spare tire. Also would it be possible to make one without the windshield squirter holes?

What do I use for windshield washer nozzles? My stock red ones are going to look like hell. Are CF ones available?

Don't know about the carbon fiber ones, but you can buy OEM pre-painted windshield wiper nozzles from Acura dealerships for about $20 per piece.

Wow Looks Amazing! Looks like lots of people are interested as well as me! Do you have any pictures of Fit and Finish on a Car? and the other question everyone has been asking... does it require the removal of the spare tire?

Thanks,

I was the first to call, so it looks like I will be the guinea pig for this first hood. From speaking with James, it sounds like this is a quality product. I will post pics and reviews after mounting.

Hi everyone. As Charley said, he does have "dibs" on this particular hood, but don't worry Charley you won't be the guinea pig - I'll test fit it again this weekend!
On that note, we'll know for sure about the tire clearance and have some pictures of the hood fitment by the end of this weekend.

Icefire: you're welcome to come have a look - I imagine I'll have the hood until Monday, when it theoretically will ship to Charley.

RUSHIN: I don't have carbon fiber nozzles, but it's not hard to paint your OEM nozzles with spray paint, and they actually come out pretty well if you take some care with it.

rbirling: As of now, I don't have any hoods with imperfections. I'll post should one arrive as such.

vtecNSX1: We can do it (sans squirter holes), but you'd have to pre-order the hood, as it would have to be custom made.

Here are some pics of the underside:

I'm definitely interested in one. My concerns are...

- fitment (so far the only hood that fits perfectly is the Procar)
- I noticed that the air dam is not as deep as the OEM i.e. it's not a perfect replica
- how to prep the surface for paint (do I need to custom order one that is ready for paint?

HOOD LOOKS AWESOME! It's about time somebody came out with this product at a good price. GOOD JOB! Please put on me the list!
