CD changer question? Alpine and OEM

Hey all.

I'm thinking of going MP3 for my cd changer. I currently have an aftermarket Alpine in my 97 which fits in the mounting bracket etc. Here are options I'm looking at.

1. If I go with Alpine ALPINE CHA-S634, will it fit my current mounting bracket that came stock?
All I would need to buy is an adapter cable to have it work?

2. I go for the stock OEM player which has MP3 capability (04+??) Will it fit the 97 bracket perfectly and will I still need to buy adapter cable?

The CHA-S634 needs two adapter cables (no big deal, you can hide them behind the carpet). It doesn't take much work to fit it to the mounting bracket you have; it's all described at http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/DIY/Alpine-S634.pdf

Or if you prefer, you can pay considerably more for an Acura-branded unit that doesn't need adapter cables.

I installed a 2005 radio and 2005 oem cd changer and it didn't work in my 95.

Do I need just one of the adaptor cables or both?

The changer cable on the 05 changer fit the existing ai-net cable. But didn't work.....
