I had a professional automotive airbrusher (the guys that hang around used car lots doing touch-up work out of their van) respray and it looks pretty darn perfect and has yet to deteriorate in any way. He used a paint adhesion promoter first, it was clear, not a primer and then I chose the color, which was a Spies Hecker brand made for Infiniti in a charcoal metallic (sorry, I did not get the paint code). It is a near perfect match. Just make sure the color has a slight irridescent finish and not huge metallic flakes. We did not use clearcoat- it turned out perfect. There may be a picture of it in under my username in the gallery section.
