Which is the correct switch for the switch that disables the starter unless the clutch is depressed. The parts diagram is confusing.

#25 35710-SE3-A01 SWITCH ASSY., CLUTCH (INHIBITER)

or

#27 36760-SM4-003 SWITCH ASSY., CLUTCH

I think it is #25 but what the heck does #27 do (disable cruse control when clutch is depressed)?

Appreciate.

You are correct.

The top switch (#25) is the starter interlock. The lower switch (#27) is the cruise control interlock.

The starter interlock switch has a little rubber plug/button on the pedal assembly (#32 on the parts diagram) that it bumps up against to operate the switch. If that rubber button ever drops out, the interlock switch won't operate and you won't be able to start the car. If it is the starter interlock switch that you are replacing, make sure that the little rubber plug is in place.

There are a number of posts on Prime discussing no-start conditions related to this plug dropping out. If you use the parking brake instead of putting the transmission into gear when you park the car, you might want to consider just by-passing the switch rather than replacing it. That way you don't have to worry about ever losing that little plug.
