Hey All,

I want a new set of rims for my new NSX but the company that makes them hasn't supplied a set of their wheels for the NSX before.

If I were to run 18"s on the front and 19"s on the rear what offsets should I be telling the company to create to prevent rubbing. Note I'm currently lowered with Eibach springs...

Any help would be appreciated from those running 18's and 19's presently.

Cheers,
Jetpilot

i'd say +35 to +40 to avoid rubbing on those widths. it depends on what tires sizes you want, how low you want to be (and how much camber you want/get), and also how far out/in from the fender you want the wheels.

here's a good thread to read up on. read the 18/19 setups. smaller wheels allow for a lower offset.

if hapa88 doesnt chime in, hit him up. he's da man, when it comes to this area.

For an 18x8 front use a +38 to +43
For a 19x10 rear use a +35

Tire sizes should be 215/35/18 front and 275/30/19 rear. I've found that a 215 on an 18x8" runs a little stretched but it isn't bad. 275/30/19 runs pretty perfect on a 19x10.

I had mine custom made through IForged and SOS. I have Iforged Rev wheels on a widebody. Here are my specs

18x8 fronts +20 offsets.
19x10 Rears +20 offsets.

I run a 285/30-r19 on the rears, i hate the stretch. 225/35-r18 fronts again i don't car for the stretch look. hope it helps. SOS helped me with the setup for sure.

Note that if you have OEM body panels (non-widebody) these offsets are too aggressive.

Okay the manufacturer is quoting this:

18 X 8 with a +42mm offset (fronts) 215/35/R18 tire

19 X 9.5 with a +48mm offset (rears) 255/30/R19 tire

Note the rear wheel is somewhat deep dish (can put a dollar bill down between the edge and inner portion).

Good?

I had a flat on my first set of so3's it took 3 months to get 2 rear tires. When you step up to these sizes, tires are limited and NOT cheap. Also watch your tire pressures. My so3's could be on 5lbs of air and i'd not notice just glancing at them.

The front looks good.
The rear, the offset should be closer to a +29 on a 19x9.5" wheel if you want it to sit flush (you should get more lip with this offset as well). +48 will be too far inside the wheel well IMO. Also you should be running a 265/30/R19 tire or even a 275/30/R19 because of TCS issues. 255 is too small.
