Notice idle would hunt on decel , as per Larry B 's article in nsx driver I cleaned TB ,with exception of spraying into TB while running ,had wife hold pedal to floor KOEO, (which is the way I've always cleaned DBW systems ) . In the 97 service manual (pg.11-111) it clearly states you can manually open the TB by hand (key off), this is contrary to what I've been trained . My training was with Bosch and Magneti Marelli . My question is has anyone here ever manually opened the throttle plate by hand and had a problem our a DBW system ,this would make the process a one man operation (eng. not running ) . Maybe Larry can chime in .

Never had an issue with opening the throttle plate my hand on a DBW. I typically would hold it open to do a compression test, to insure plenty of air is getting in.
