The dynamic wing is one of the coolest features on the car. Its tied to the cars computer and a separate control panel so you have all the freedom to tinker and dial in the wings settings.

It moves and adjusts to the car. Here it is on demo mode:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Deg1p8biZhE&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Deg1p8biZhE&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Here it is in action:

The company was just started by a pair of MIT graduates and they did thorough testing that you can see on their website. http://aeromotions.com/

Some people pulled over and wanted a sample of the wing in action while I was doing the photoshooot. The reaction was priceless.

And because I'm from Vegas, I just had to

Tell your friend to change the first letter of his plate to a P!

Re: Did a photoshoot of friends R35 GTR (with DYNAMIC wing)

nice pics...the gtr can do away without the wing...but whatever floats his boat and yes, the license plate says it all...haha...i was thinking the same thing...such dirty minds we all have! haha just have it say punani!:tongue:

While i agree I'd do away with the wing, according to the video, it improved the lap time by 1.29 seconds - however, I'm not sure if that's over a standard wing or stock.

While we're on the topic...

I love the first and last pictures! Ironically, I don't think that the wing looks all that terrible on THAT car. I would not think of it on an NSX. It is a pretty cool aerodynamic concept too!

All the best,

Nate in DC

That's an awesome design idea on that wing. I wonder what the statistical differences are from real world testing. Neat, seems like there is a internal gyro in the computer controlling it.

F3ck what it looks like if it works, and works well! It looks pretty cool though.

Some air brake action would neat too.

I wonder if that spoiler be legal for racing applications? FactorX, try one out!

So far there aren't really any rules against it. But they were afraid that if a car started to use it and kicked too much ass it might get banned.

As for the air brake, when you slam on the brakes the wing does tilt all the way forward to help slow things down. Its so adjustable I'm sure you could program it to function more as a proper airbrake.

How much difference does it really affect? We are not flying here!!

There is a lot of wind tunnel testing and track results posted on their website. And if factorX is interested let me know and I can help you guys get pointed in the right direction with the company owner/discounts.

Thanks for all the feedback guys.

.

I could of sworn that's what it did. I thought maybe it went to "rest" position. I guess it did swing up higher. Very cool. I'm anxious to see some test result numbers. Not that I could ever afford it or need it on my own car lol.

If you don't mind me asking, what is the location of that first pic? Somewhere west of Vegas?
I'm not the world's biggest GTR fan, but that wing is SICK! Great photography too by the way.

Must of been a cold day in Vegas since two guys are wearing hoodies lol. I never thought it got that cold there!

Cold? Yes. Higest recorded snow fall in Las Vegas's history this year... Thanks global warming! Can't even imagine how bad it would've been without you
