Ooh, you naughty thing, you! That's a violation of Ebay's TOS. Like I care. I did the same thing, this morning.

Aw, gee whiz...thanks for the thanks. And you never know about the "flying over my residence" thing......I've spent a lot of time lately flying over the top of ol' JH4NA1158NT000044, if you catch my drift.

Time for me to quit daydreaming about NSXs and get back to work....

Charles

Since everyone here is so interested in my business, I posted my conversation with the owner. I told Charles that I would post here if I felt it was a scam, but since you guys like trash talking so much I felt I had to do this before auction ended just to clear my name a little bit. And since you guys think this is some conspiracy of some sort, I'll tell you the truth. I saw an ad to do this on http://www.hondaprelude.com/ads to post an nsx. Take a look, you know you can't resist. Everything I know is just what this guy has told me. I have left his identity out just in case this thing is legit, but if not I'll be happy to post here again. I wish I could be like Jay and Silent Bob and meet all you people who post this kind of BS. But, I have school as you can read from my conversation and there are more important things than hearing this garbage. BTW, I'll be happy to return the favor and email all your bidders when you post auction. Damn, I even advised people against bidding until all their questions were answered. All I wanted was a fair chance at auction, since I am paying good money to do it. You guys are really something. I'm glad you have your NSX's because without them, your just little people who like to talk a bunch of smack behind your computers.

If you read carefully, you'll notice that if this is a scam, I get screwed too. I have told all bidders to be careful and have taken the necessary precautions myself. Knowing everyone here, you probably think there is something more like its the X-files or something. Send your detectives out, go ahead, you'll be doing me a favor too. I asked specifically to talk things through with me via email so that this would not blow up like this, but some people like it rough I guess.

Boy are you right on the money. I'm sure each of you bought your nsx's from a recycler ad and are paying for it now. I'm not sure who throws away $36k like that, but if you do I dunno, maybe you don't deserve to drive an nsx. Sorry for all the posts, but I do have a life and its just recently that this thing has been brought to my attention.

That was a very nice thing both of you did and blatantly admitting to it too. Depending on how I feel, I am prepared to take proper legal action as well. Most people canbe reasoned with and talked to, but some people really are just asking for it. Live and learn people.

No, actually nobody here gives a damn about you or your business except as it impacts the NSX community.

that I would post here if I felt it was a scam

Gee, what part of selling a car as "perfect" when the mileage is wrong and the car is at a yard that specializes in wrecked re-buildables doesn't seem like a scam to you?

but since you guys like trash talking so much I felt I had to do this before auction ended just to clear my name a little bit.

Trash talking? Oh, puhleeze! Nobody here has made any statements or allegations that are not demonstrably true. No personal attacks, no flames, just a clear presentation of information to interested parties.

I wish I could be like Jay and Silent Bob and meet all you people who post this kind of BS.

Which BS would that be? The BS where we relate the true story on this car? Or the BS where we question someone coming here with an attitude about posting BS on this site?

there are more important things than hearing this garbage.

Not to the potential buyer of this car there isn't.

BTW, I'll be happy to return the favor and email all your bidders when you post auction.

I've run several hundred Ebay auctions with nothing but positive feedback. Not ONE of those auctions hid anything from prospective bidders. IOW, you could e-mail my bidders all day long and there would be nothing for me to fear.

You guys are really something. I'm glad you have your NSX's because without them, your just little people who like to talk a bunch of smack behind your computers.

Yes, we are really something - a tight knit group of NSX enthusiasts who share every bit of information that we have and help each other in every way we can while maintaining high standards in all of our dealings. You came to us - remember?

Proper legal action? Give me a break. Do the right thing, end the auction, forget trying to make money this way and concentrate on your studies. Then, when you graduate, you can get a good job and buy everything you want without having to resort to auctioning questionable cars on Ebay.

yep, just go to http://www.hondaprelude.com/ads/searchads.asp and poke "nsx" (without the quotes) into the search box and leave the two thingamabobs at their defaults of "All Words" and "All Categories" and BINGO! - all you need to further piece together the history of this event...

edit to add a preposition 'cuz I didn't know where I was at...

I've emailed the guy who posted the nsx ad on hondaprelude.com and threatened him for the truth regarding the mileage on the car and some other facts. The ebay ad will be taken down tonight if I do not receive a valid response. I will check with the New York DMV to see who is the registered owner and compare it with my guy. Most likely they will not be the same. I highly doubt this guy owns the Nsx, but is rather just someone who is out to make a few bucks given the EZT selling price. People, I am not trying to rip anyone off just trying to have a FAIR chance at selling the car just in case this is legit. This is why I asked for some time in trying to clear this up. Yah, I've taken a lesson from all of this. My name is getting butchered and he's just letting me sweat it. This is a bad way to make a entrance anywhere, I agree. Damn, never thought it would be like this. I believe this thread should die now.

Why people buy expensive cars on Ebay in the first place is beyond me. To me, it's way too much risk, and usually what's on Ebay seems to be more crap than good.

Your still not showing us the entire email. How did you decide on what his minimum reserve is? At what point do you keep the money. Is this guy also reselling it for ERZ, or is it them...a 3 person sale?? erm. Tell him I'll give him $7k for it.

jack of all trades, master of some.

Actually, the auction will be taken down permanently regardless. Bad decision again.

To lemansnsx

Gee, what part of selling a car as "perfect" when the mileage is wrong and the car is at a yard that specializes in wrecked re-buildables doesn't seem like a scam to you?

Now that everything has been pointed out yes, it does appear like a scam. Again, I received a vin number and what seemed to be authentic pictures, from someone who claimed to be the owner. Also he seemed to know the car pretty well. How would you begin to even question this as a prospective seller? Thats just my 2 cents. But lets kills this. I'll kill the auction.

soundworkz, I haven't the patience to read back though all this crap, but did you never ask yourself (or him) why he didn't list it himself? His original post that hooked you had total freaking scam written all over it. Are you really that dumb?

Yes, thanks to you guys and some emails, I have ended the auction. I replyed to the ad posted on hondaprelude.com as previously discussed and that brings me here today. Thanks for you help.
