Engine compartment cleaning....tips?

dear local nsxers,

any tips on where to go for engine cleaning? it's been over a year since i've owned my nsx and boy that engine is getting filthy....my goose bumps shoot out, respiratory system speeds up, lose sleep at night....not a good sign.

therefore, i like to know how you guys normally handle this...i've heard about simple green but have never tried it.....don't really dare to try on this engine....has anyone got their engine cleaned at a dealership?

There's another thread on the main forum about this I think, but in it I recommended Pig Spit to dress all your black rubber and plastic when you're done washing with Simple Green. It's a Harley product. I'll bring some to the Concorso for everyone to try. Once you use it you'll never use anything else.

Are you going on the drive tomorrow? I'll have some there too.

You might also try S100 Total Cycle Cleaner. Bikers love it. Works great on the engine. See the thread in General.
