Escalade die cast, what is highest quality? Gift for a girl. PLEASE help.

Hi

I have a friend who's a girl and se diggs the Escalade :tongue:

Her dream is a pink one (wee what a surprise!). I would have bought her a real one for her birthday but I can't so I want to buy the highest quality diecast available, and then re-paint it in pink.


Please help, I can't see what's real good quality and what's not by looking at pictures :redface:

Other than small, slightly larger than 1:64 ones, I haven't seen any current-gen Escalades out there. However, Hot Wheels is coming out with a 1:18 2007 ESV. It ain't anywhere near AutoArt quality, but large Hot Wheels die-casts seem okay for their price point.

As for previous gen Escalades, I only recall the Jada toy line of short chassis Escalades. You get what you pay for on those (i.e. big chromy flashy wheels that don't turn, and basic single color interiors.). However, if you get them in kit form, it may make it easier to paint.
