Finally Done! 05 DF CF Silverstone w/ Umbrella VRH

Looks purdy! I'm sure it's been asked before, but what's the weight on those wheels? I also noticed the blue speedo gauges. Didn't they just come stock on the blue cars?

Blue gauges are stock on 2004 and 2005 cars. They also have a different shift knob and white stitching. The other difference is that the rear sway bar was changed (same spec as Zanardi). The alarm system was upgraded. Few differences not too many people know.

Rob I have to say at first I wasn't in love with the wheels. But I think our done a great job with the carbon on the lower half of the car and made it all fit together. Looks terrific.

Not to insult your photography skills, but I would love to see better pics of the splitter. Your pics are kind of dark.

I do have a question:

1) where did you mount the whole VRH tank and compressor? I had to disassemble mine. I did it to save weight (the bracket is 3 pounds and I don't need it), plus I wanted to be able to stow a flat tire in the trunk still. And I store my targa in my trunk. So I had to fabricate a weatherproof housing for the compressor and mounted it lower down (for lower center of gravity, it is the heaviest part of the system) inside the right fender. Still trying to figure out the tank.

Great idea on switch location. I hope you don't mind my stealing it.

Edited a few of the photo's to help show some details. Let me know if you mind Rob!!

How much do you love the VRH Kit! Love the side skirt lowers as well. I want a pair but cant justify the cost. They do looks sick on the silver.

Not at ALL!!! I'll take all the help I can get....I've been contacted by a few local photogs who want to take some shots(including Strasse forged)so I should have some better pics soon.
I'd love to get together in the Spring....I'm curious to see that Green in person!

The installer cut the bracket much smaller to tuck into the left corner tightly....I'll send you a pic when I can....car is stored away from the house for the winter.

I have to say....I didnt think I'd feel that much of a need for it after I "impulse" bought it and was waiting months for delivery BUT with all the expensive CF on the bottom of the car. I have to say I've been using it and it works AWESOME....I never have to think about scraping again so when in doubt I just raise it up!!! As for the expense on all of it....I told myself for the first time in my life(I'm 45) I'm doing whatever I want for this car.

A few guys asked if I could post a few pics of how the VRH was installed in the trunk.
Here was the best I could do on short notice....Sorry if the quality sucks.

How hot does it get btw

Due to only using it to get over large speed bumps steep driveways and railroad tracks not at all. It's not like you're hopping the thing down main street. So it stays cool if you use it for what its designed for. It's a must have for any car with a molded front bumper thats lowered. It's payed for its self in body work 10x over.

Blue gauges are stock on 2002-05 cars, 02 and 03 have silver overlay while 04 and 05 came with black overlay.

UPDATED PICS http://www.flickr.com//photos/vosmotorsports/sets/72157632673314373/show/

Hey Guys....The car was just shot 2 weeks ago for Strasse Forged...I love how the pics came out.
I couldn't just download them for some reason but here is the link for the slide show.
Great shots, thanks for sharing! By the way, I noticed he blanked out your license plate in some but not all the shots. Might want to point that out to your photographer if it is a concern for you.
