Looks like you did a good job with the restoration but the pictures are a little hard to see due to the size. Might want to post some higher res pictures.

BTW you should probably take the first slash (/) out of the first font tag in your signature.

wow.... looks like a lot of time and thought went into this restoration project... awesome~!!!

Much better:wink:

Glad Photobucket worked out for you.

Amazing work... some of the pictures look like scenes from CSI. Great job saving that NSX!

Very impressive!

Except for the NSX letters in the headrest not matching the NSX font.

thanks to DV8  photobucket.com is a walk in the park

All restoration was done by myself; except Leather Seats and leather trim which was done by local (Staten Island, NY) craftsman.; Anyone interested in using him, contact me, I'll be more than happy to give you his Address & phone #. His name is Umberto and he does incredible work right out of his garage.

This work requires alot of patience and time

Tonight I'll post pix of different headrests which have the right NSX FONT more Interior pictures; Before & After pix of the Engine Compartment & Engine
Cover

Ciao

I see this photo, and i admire the fine work done to the seat, but it leaves me wondering...

What money does this person from Jersey City want to return? How much money was it? Could I get away with it?

Nice TV

Philip

Incredible, please let me know what all that dynamat does for road noise with it being under the seating like that, great work...one of the first things I'm doing when my NSX gets here within the next week, going to do the dynamat and lowering in the garage over the winter.

again, nice work!

how much weight did all that dynamat add to the car? but damn that is a great job that your doing on the restoration. the previous owner definitly abused the hell out of that car.

I'm mostly a lurker here, but I HAD to post a reply on this one!! That is one of the best photo montage posts I've seen! Great job! It looks FANTASTIC!!

I bought the "Bulk Pack" (see pix of box in my thread) which contains 9 sheets, each sheet weighs 1.6 lbs. and covers 4 sf. I used 6 full sheets on the interior floor, remaining 3 sheets I'm going to use inside the inner door panels. All 9 sheets weigh approx. 16 lbs.

Dynamat is worth every penny, I bought the pack for $180 through the guy who reupholstered my seats. Definetly reduces alot of road noise, I highly recommend it. It's 1/8 " thick, with black tar type material which sticks to the chassis, in my case the floor.. very easy to install, NO glue/adhesive required, only need a utility knife (razor) and a wooden roller

wow only 16 more lbs with alot less noise. hmmmm makes me want to consider it when i get my own nsx one of these days.

Nice work - lot of time & effort went into that!

(it almost looked like a flood victim originally?)

Too late for you SD_1964 but as a suggestion for others who may follow in your sound damping enhancement program (although you might still be interested in the acoustic filter products)

I can recommend Second Skin Damplifier Pro as a much better product & cheaper too - 36 sq. ft. is $150. Or the regular Damplifier (which is still at least comparible or better to Dynamat Extreme) is only $96 for 40 sq ft.

Also check out their Overkill & Silencer products.

Incidentally Dynamat is a "tar based product" although Dynamat Extreme is Butyl based. Damplifier Regular & Pro are both Butyl based.

D'Ecosse: Not a flood car as far as I'm aware. Vin # check was clean. Previous owner is an asshole who must've been a big drinker/partier who neglected it for many years. thanks for the insight on the second skin products...

One of, if not the nicest revamped interior i've ever seen...

I want to see some overall shots of the seats and consoles... I see close ups of everything and it looks great, i just want to see it all together....

must look impressive! nice work!

Great restoration!

For the shift knob, theres a small rubber band on the plastic ring underneath the shift boot. Clip the rubberband with a razor blade so that you can remove the ring and you can neatly bring up the boot to the bottom half of the shift knob.

SD 1964 It is wonderful to see the work you are doing on your NSX. It is really neat to see one of these cars that has had a neglected life and be given a second chance. My hat is off to you buddy.

If you are not aware, there is an NSX salvage yard in your backyard. It is called ERZ Car at 1434 Eastern Parkway Brooklyn, NY 11233 or e-mail Joe Toth at [email protected] for any parts that you may need. Joe told me that they quit counting the number of NSXs that they have salvaged at 100!!!!

Keep up the good work,
Brad
