Hello everyone,

We recently acquired an NSX that had one of the last Real Time Racing Dry Carbon bodies and are gauging interest in the community. For those that do not know, the Real Time Racing NSX campaigned this body with great success in Speed World Challenge. This body has been wind tunnel tested and is probably the most developed non-widebodied aftermarket bodies available. It also on Gran Turismo so that makes it cool as well:)

We are going to make them better! Through the use of CFD and aero engineer’s rich racing experience in Indy Car, Super GT, ALMS, and Time Attack, we will be making some slight changes to the design to increase down and reduce drag further. The kit will only be available in Fiberglass and will need between 5-10 people to make this a reality. The kits will only be available for the 1991-2001 NSX and will consist of a front bumper, hood, side skirts, trunk lid, and wing. They will require fitment by a professional body shop or someone of equal experience. If you are a track nut/weekend warrior and do not want to go with a widebody this is a great stylistic and functional alternative.

Estimated price: $5,000 (The more people we get in the group buy the lower the price)

We are also considering offering the body ala carte. So please provide input if you are interested in a singular piece.

SWEET!!

I love it and the crazy thing is I just upgraded my NSX on GT5 to that aero kit last night.

I want it but I don't think I would want to pay $5000. Would that be installed price?

Other than the front bumper and side skirts what other parts are there? There doesn't seem to be any spatz??

I think when he said $5k that was for JUST be product. Hence him saying that you would need a b/s or have equal experience to install it so it would be impossible to quote that price since different shops charge different rates.

As 92nsx mentioned that does not include install. The kit will include front bumper, hood, side skirts, trunk lid, wing with uprights. People have to understand the time and economics that go into doing a limited production run for a car like the NSX and sometimes price reflects that However as mentioned depending on the number of people that commit the price may vary. If there is not enough interest I will just sell the complete dry carbon body outright. Thanks for the interest!

I'd be interested in their hood that could work without modification to the radiator support or radiator.

Of all the ducted hoods out there for the pop up headlights, it seems like this one would would work the best.

Dhalism, very nice car, where did you get the kit? I've searched for GT5 with no luck. Thanks, Tony

It's in the Auto Shop. Called Race Mod. There are only like 16 cars that you can race mod.

well the OP was saying that the Real Time Racing kit was the same as the one from GT5. It definitely appears similar but there are some differences.

For example the GT5 version has different quarter panels.....which I like very much.

Troca....yes these are just pics from my Playstation Gran Turismo 5 game.

If anybody is interested in seeing more pictures of the hood:

If the hood could be made to use the stock radiator support and radiator, I would personally prefer a vacuum bagged hood even if it was fiberglass to help optimize strength, weight and cost. Autoclave would be even better, but probably cost prohibitive.

Finally, I'd also be interested in the Leman's style rear diffuser that would work with the stock rear valence. I know Procar had one, but I've never seen how their version mounted to the car completely.

Yep, your idea is definitely optimal for the mass market but the total market size to justify that investment probably is not there. It seems from all the pms I have received that if we do this project it will be ala carte or perhaps the originals may be sold outright. I'll give it a few more weeks to see what the interest is.

In GT5 only 91 Acura NSX can put on the racing bodykit. I wasted my credits getting a bigger capacity NSX and cannot modify its exterior.

I like this a lot, especially the flared rearfenders. However, I REALLY REALLY wish a rear bumper would be developed with more aggressive "spats" like this (sorry for the bad photoshop) as well as a fairly aggressive diffuser.

It looks like most of our interest has been in separate pieces of the kit. We will green light the project and offer the parts ala carte. In addition, we will not be making the hood for this kit as it will require quite a bit of modification on the end users part.

It looks like everyone wants that Lemans widebody from gt5!

Would the rear fender be shaped something like what I posted above, where the rear spats blend better and flow with the car?
