Can anybody tell me if headers and exhaust from a 1996 nsx will fit a 1992?If they won't,what is the problem

Exhaust & headers from a 96 will fit on a 92 - they are both the 3.0L engine, should be no difference. http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/General/changesbyyear.htm is a good resource to understand the differences of changes over the years

Why then does Comptech's website break it down like this- 91-94 then 95- 99.Any help appreciated

Perhaps I was too quick to answer that!
I can only think that they changed the cat design in 95 - I believe that as long as you replace all the components then it should be OK - I think even the 97+ headers will fit if you use the entire system, but not many make this change because its cheaper to go after-market typically.
I'll let one of our experts validate this.

Bump just means they want the topic to go back up to the top. So they write bump and it gets moved up because of a new post.

96 header is not compatible with cars before 95 unless all the components rearward of the headers are replaced as well (2nd 02 bung will also need to be capped). Stay tuned for a new header system to be available.
