Hey brake gurus....

I just installed the stoptech bbk and the front rotors are very very close to the lower A-arm knuckle. We are talking about just a few mm, do you think heat from the rotor will damage the knuckle?

Thx in advance.

Rgds,

Henry.

Do you track the car often?

No - heat won't be an issue. You won't get the rotor temps into the extremes like we do at the track even with heavy street driving. On the track we are braking hard from 130+ down to 60-90 and repeat and repeat and repeat. Even if you are doing canyon driving, more than likely the rotors will have a chance to cool between hard applications.

Yes - either leave the brake splash shield on or mount a small plate between the brake and the ball joint.
