Where do you take your NSX for service in Austin area ??? I need a PPI on car in Leander, TX

I do most service on my NSX myself. But the two times it was serviced by someone else - I took it to McDavid Acura. They have an NSX certified mechanic. They have done an excellent job on my car (timing belt and a TSB). Do you need someone to look over that car?

This place may be your only option. I would have hoped someone would have helped you out in finding a place. Good luck, I have no experience with this facility so check them out.

That place makes me very uneasy since they promote a variety of "flush" services. Most of which are unnecessary, and done primarily because of the profit margin. Some flushes, such as those with automatic transmissions, are considered by many to be harmful. (Not an issue with most NSXs since they are manual)

I have no experience with these guys. But based on their webpage I wouldn't even consider them.

Thanks Vanishing Point and Hofffam. Another recommendation I received was: http://www.grandimports.net/ Any knowledge of this place? I was hoping that an area like Austin would have someONE who specialized in the NSX. We have a multitude of options here in Southern California and I hoped for the same in Austin. As far as actually looking at the car..... My brother has an 02 NSX, lives in DFW and physically looked at the car last weekend but I was hoping for an actual PPI.

I've had Grand Imports install a clutch in the past. The seem to do good work and have reasonable rates. They only charged $500. for a job that some shops would charge $1,200.

i had Grand Imports do my 90k install. Scott is an nsx technician with many years experience.

i went to lucas care a week ago to have brake pads installedon my mazdaspeed 3. 392 for 4 pads and fluid flush, they did provide me a rental and a follow up call and it was a nice place. not sure i'd take my nsx there over grandimports. Scott at Grandimports has history.

If you are willing to drive about an hour south of Austin to San Antonio there is an excellent Nsx mechanic. Name is Scott at HNA automotive. (Honda and acura). http://www.hnaautomotive.com
Scott used to be the Nsx mechanic at Gunn Acura here in San Antonio but left to open his own place. He is very knowledgeable and really knows the cars. He has people coming from all over south Texas to his shop.

give him a call and I am sure he would do a good PPI.
