Highest Serial Number out there (#xxxxx)

Understood and why I asked if it had an applicable US VIN.
Based on professed ~ 1/3 outside US, the 1059 "could be a VIN of ~ 706.
That said, I believe somewhere on this site (maybe a note of for sale at a dealer else a new owner) was a post of a VIN of ~ 739 +/- suggesting a serial # of 1109 +/-?
Regardless not a big deal. Just my curiosity.

The serial number is unique , all countries included. As soon a car leaves production the serial number is added.
example:View attachment 143355

rhe highest number so far is 01059 build finalized on the 31/03.

1059 is for Europe with VIN 046 (Europe VIN country code ends with 76xxx (for my car 76046). US car VIN ends 00xxx.
The highest I saw for US market was: VIN ending 721 (00721 in the case below) with serial 1001. This car listed for nearly 3 weeks now. No newcomers in cars.com!

Might have been nice to receive our stateside deliveries (Audi'sh) wrapped like that.
... as long as the paint doesn't get stuck to it!:eek:

1059 left production 31th of March. Arrival in Paris 14-19 May. Which color have you ordered Gadgetman? Yellow & Green are out of stock !

Yeah, canary yellow pearl-glow with lime green roof and purple calipers was still in beta testing, so not available when I ordered back in April '16.
As such, mine was delivered in Mid October in Super Silver with Saddle and Red calipers... as seen in my Avatar next to my '02 btw.

Did the factory tour today. Recently completed cars were in the 1230 range (chassis number). Also, FYI, most of the non-US cars seemed to have iron brakes, but all of the US cars seemed to have carbon brakes. Production was slowed from 8 cars/day to 6 cars/day.

But did you fave fun?

The NSX specialist had mentioned the slowdown in production but was not specific on the volume. Thanks for finding out it was a 25% cut.

Interesting that the iron rotor take rate is higher for ex US cars.

Did you see the crashed car that is in for repair?

Great time. Still here. About to head to engine plant.

i don't think we were seeing a take-rate differential. Our guide thought that they had not yet actually built and iron brake models for US market. He said "that one has iron brakes, so must be for export."

Ill write up up something when I get home, although TDUDER already did a nice review. Preview: at end of track experience, my front tires were toast, brake pad light was on, and I had 4 miles of fuel range.

how many track miles or laps did you do?...were the pads and tires new?

Tires and brakes were not new, but it sounds like they are not used to the cars being pushed hard. It was about 3 hours of seat time on various tracks.

you were like neo learning kung fu....3 hours in one day is pretty strong for a weekend warrior:cool:
