Yes, it was cut, patched using fabricated aluminum pieces, epoxied, wet sanded, professionally color-matched metal-dyed.
Jim, I fabricated it. It looks like a factory job, used vinyl stripping to line the inside edge that I cut, so you can't see any exposed cut lines. I used the original cover to outline the cut pattern, so the lines & curves look factory. It's actually for sale if you're interested, I tried adding it to the NSX Marketplace, but seeing how I'm not so proficient w/ posting things, I don't know if the ad went thru! Price is $375. B/c this mod turned out really well, I'm offering to have anyone interested ship me their cover + $175 for parts & labor, I'll do yours in @ 10 business days. Email me if interested, thanks!
