how low will the NSX depreciate till? when will it stop?

If you want a real assessment of resale, sell yours and learn the hard way like I did

better yet... Sell it to me

I bought my 1991 in 2006 with 10k miles for 38500, sold her in 2007 with 17k miles for 42500 on eBay.

Bought her back again last year with 32k miles for 35k. I did the major maintenance items a couple of weeks ago and I am listing her for sale again with 35k miles.

No idea what the value is as I don't see too many coupes with super low miles so I'm asking 49k OBO. I'll probably not get that (not on Prime, but eBay maybe), but I'm in no rush to sell anyway. I'm eying an NA2 btw.

I'm shopping for a time machine on Ebay tonight. If I can reach him in time, I'm going to buy the 2-owner all-OEM red 1992 w/14.5k miles that was all maintainence-updated by Larry B and which I could have bought for $32k in the fall of 2011. Just notating that here in this thread because I'll sell it for only $45k and will deliver it too. Sorry to undercut you here, skafia!! :)

Seriously - amazing how the asking $'s have gone up and many bought prices since I started shopping in January 2011. Good for us, but meaningless for us who aren't planning to sell anytime soon.

I'm no polygamist. I found the perfect one for me (or it found me) so I'm one and done. :)

Until 2019 when I'll buy a 2005 for $20k as a DD, that is.

But as someone who actively searched hard for two years and kept very well abreast of asking prices and sale prices then and even now, I'm astounded at the 20% bump in asking prices for clean 91-92's since late 2012. It's fun to watch.

Naaman, are you looking? I forgot if you had one already or not?

As far as depreciation - I really have to invent or buy that time machine. All this time I could have been buying NSX's and selling them for the same amount or more 5 years later. Killed some time before bed by Indiana Jones'ing into some dusty old posts from ~2001:

This thread was started in 2002 so the question in the title really doesn't apply to 2014 but…the only thing depreciating in regards to Gen-1 NSX's is the value of the word "depreciation!"
