Stock NSX have a good radiator duct panel. I took mine out because I have an after cooler to cool the water for the Water/Air cooler on the BBSC.
Here we go...
I measured the opening under the hood between the front bumper and the radiator/core support.
Cut up a cardboard box to use as a mark up. Cardboard is easy to manage and cut.
Buy some aluminium sheet metal (.04 inch think) and use the cardboard to trace onto the sheet metal. Now cut of the sheet metal to match the cardboard mark up.
(Please me careful the edges are sharp and will cut you)
Once you are done, mark the holes on each side to bolt up to the 2 10mm bolts. Test fit it and make sure nothing is touching the body because under vibration it might scrape the paint. Now file all the edges to make it look clean and make the edges look straight as possible.
I also made a small bracket to hold/support it in the middle by the hood latch.
I ordered the carbonfiber vinyl from ebay to cover the final product or you can leave the raw aluminium or polish look.
In the pictures you can see I started covering the radiator holders with the carbonfiber vinyl as well. Still need to do theother one. I could have done a better job with the carbonfiber vinly but its my first time and kind off slapped it on.
Cheers
Rahim
