Download and install the appropriate patch for your corresponding operating system.

If you do not know the version of your operating system do this to find out:

On your desktop, right click my computer > select properties > and on that first dialog box you will see what version of M$ you are running.

This will help prevent the spread of this internet worm attack that affected so many people all over the world.

Before you all hit the panic stations and download this patch; if you have automatic-updates turned on the patch may already be installed. You can check by following these steps:

1) Go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
2) Click on "Review your update history"
3) Look for the update with (KB899588) at the end. If you have that, you're protected.
