Is it bad to not use o2 sensor?

Hi. Is it bad to not have my o2 sensor hooked up? Like just unplug the connection and drive?


Will it so anything more than just give me a check engine light? Thanks

First off, why are you wanting to do this? I'm no mechanic, but I think your fuel economy will suffer greatly and there is a great likelihood that it will run like dog&%#*.

Is the sensor bad and why are you wondering about just unplugging one? Fuel economy will drop a bit.

It'll probably run unnecessarily rich, cause excessive carbon buildup everywhere it can, and eventually burning up a cat.
