Hot damn! I've been looking for an aftermarket solution like this. I was pissed when I bought my Wife's MS3 and it didn't have that option like the other Mazdas. Although it looks like it's not as sexy as the credit card style of her old RX-8, seems to be a fat keychain instead... I only carry one key in my pocket, I'd love to make it zero.

Any other companies manufacturing such add-ons?

very cool, there was a company in Uk that had a Bluetooth proximity system but is was very pricey, this is a nice low cost option.

Actually this technology has been in use for many years , same thing as clifford immobilisers in early - mid 90's , I actually thought of doing this years ago...

How would the steering lock work? I'm guessing you'd have to disable it and leave the wheel "unlocked".
