kind of music you cruise with your nsx

Around town, engine only.

Long highway trips I'll listen to a few different rock related things but my big kicks lately have been August Burns Red, Dragonforce, Killswitch Engage, Kamelot and Futuristic Sex Robotz (always a classic). I don't look the part though :)

Talk radio. Nothing gets me more angry and quick to aggressive driving than listening how liberals are wasting my tax dollars.

Well at least there is one piece of music here that us older guys can relate to! Jeff Beck is awesome - greatest guitar player to ever live - PERIOD. Then there's Eric Clapton, Duane Almond, etc. Led Zeplin, yeah the good old stuff, Jimmy Page, ZZ Top - nothing cruizes like ZZ. There are more I'm forgetting but that's a little of what I like to cruize with. Then there's always some good jazz....yeah more old stuff, like Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, Theloneous Monk, Dave Bruebeck, - that is when I'm not listening to the engine - nothing beats listening to the engine.

My blood pressure is already too high for this. I'd probably croak and drive my NSX into a wall.

I agree! Listening to Savage now!

If I'm lucky i'll get to drive the X once a week. That's just about enough to listen to that week's TATW podcast.

I normally play this. Mostly because it is applicable at the time and I'm just letting my fellow motorists know. (explicit language NSFW)

I tend to listen to upbeat stuff with a mix of calm/mellow thrown in there.

Upbeat:
Deadmau5, Daftpunk, etc... techno, dance, trance basically.

Varies on my mood. Can go anywhere from 80's punk to classical music. Sometimes just listening to the exhaust is enough. Radio off....

OEM Bose <> musical enjoyment. OEM Bose = mediocrity, does not inspire listening.

Noise from behind the bulkhead is a different story altogether.

When I do decide to listen, it's Jobim, Diana Krall, Toots Thielemans, Miles, Coltrane, Parker, Ray Brown, nearly anything arranged by Quincy Jones, Gene Harris, Michael Franks, Bob James, Getz, Gillespie, Wes, etc. See a pattern here?

And the occassional ZZ Top, Journey, Supertramp, Dave Matthews, but not nearly as often. Unfortunately it's most often whatever the FM radio offers. I save serious listening for when I am at home.

Official Old Fart, that's me.
