Mi area first meet and spirited drive of the season

Can't wait for this weekend. I put the insurance back on the car today...so im ready to roll...no new wheels yet though:mad:
My friend also expressed some interest in coming with his Delorean, or he might just ride along with me since bree can't make it. I told him to email Mike, but I am not sure he has yet.
Do we know what kind of Ferraris will be there? Im going to make sure the camera is charged.

Ryan,

I would have your friend ride along w/ you. It is a lot better w/ a co-pilot, somebody to read the map and talk to as you know the drives are quite long. I hope your camera is charged b/c I am tired of being the designated photographer. J/K  I will have mine on hand and ready to go but Issac from the F-chat board will be there and he takes amazing pics. The list of cars confirmed are as follows :

From F-Chat:

Cars confirmed:
348 Spider
Dino
512 Boxer
2 x 328s
2 x 355s (Nick may have to work)
550
Testarossa
308
Private Collector Car????
4 x NSXs
Viper
Ford GT
C5 Z06
C6 Z06
Lingenfelter Corvette

I can't wait. It looks to be a lot of fun for the 1st drive of the season. Hopefully ours on the 28th will have good weather as that looks to be a record turnout for NSX's. 10 or more!

Wow, this drive is going to be nuts!!! I'm sorry for getting on here late and not responding to the request for PM'ing the information. Thanks for putting the pdf file out there, that will make it easier. :)

So a Noble might make it and another NSX? SWEET!

The latest forecast is for a high of 70 and SUNNY!!!

We're hoping that the private collector will bring out either his Enzo or his F40, he hasn't confirmed which one yet.

We also had an F1 F430 Spider confirm with us last night.

I have a feeling that there is going to be some AMAZING photo opportunities!

We just need to find someone with a helicopter to take some overhead shots as we're underway! Wouldn't that be amazing? :)

   Im not worthy!!
My vote is for the F40. This IS going to be one for the books it sounds like.

Either one works for me. AWW Hell, how about both. I can drive the Enzo since itis not a manual tranny!

Man this is shaping up to be fricken SWEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!

So an F430 is confirmed for Sunday, and possibly an Enzo or an F40?!?!!?..

Wow, I can't wait to see this!!!!!

Yes sir! The F430 is an F1 Spider, he just confirmed last night. The F40 or the Enzo is a private collector in Brighton. He has 65 or more cars in his collection, and these are the ones I know about:

Enzo
F40
288 GTO
330
612 Scaglietti (I think)
Mclaren F1 (I think)
SLR Mclaren Mercedes (I think)
Porsche Carrerra GT
I'm not sure, he may even have an NSX.

If it works out, we'll be stopping by his warehouse along the route (the route we're taking goes within 3 miles of his warehouse)

Can you imagine having to make that kind of decision? "I think

Fadi, you were on that Hells Loop run last November right? If this is in fact you, your car is awesome, and you really know how to DRIVE IT!

Stop, you're killing me.
Sounds like my vision of what heaven must be like. I hope we get to stop by his place, that would be incredible.

Don't even tell me he has a McLaren F1. Good god I do not if I could peel myself away from it. :D I may need a drool cup and a bib. LOL!

Man this is going to be sweet. Now I gotta get my Dad to go. If he misses out on either an F40 or Enzo on the road I would kill'em.

No McLaren F1, and there is a good chance he will never own one ;)

There are about 45 cars in the garage we may be visiting, while 20 are in another warehouse in another city, 5 are on the west side, 5 are in somebody elses storage facility, and some are out of state.

He has taken a kinship lately to some older muscle cars like a 67 427 435, a Shelby GT (350 or 500, I'm not yet sure... but the original one).

Anyway, it is better to be surprised by the cars in his collection... some you may have only seen in magazines, while others bring back fond memories, and others still are simply just car poRn :p

I'll give him a call and hopefully we'll know whats coming.

Thanks for keeping me honest Isaac, I was trying to remember all the cars you had mentioned. :)

Got ya, beautiful car you have!!

Looking forward to meeting up with you and the rest of the crowd shortly on Sunday. Take care..

Man what a start to the season. The Ferrari guys know how to throw a shindig! I'm going to have to start coming up with better ideas so I can keep our group as entertained as we were yesterday. Thanks to the Ferrari guys for inviting us and to all the NSXers that showed up!

Anyway so far so good as far as the weather goes. Looks like sunny and mid sixties for our drive this Saturday may go up as the week progress. Don't forget all our welcome and if you have any friends who would like to come make sure they know the place and time.

wish I could have made last saturday's drive (not that I have a car worth associating with those cars). looks like a great time from all the pics posted. I'm looking forward to catching up with you guys this weekend...

Keeping my fingers crossed for good weather next sat. Should we plan a rain date or just figure we are going rain or shine?
Im still coming off the high from yesterday...had to really scrub the bugs off the front of my car....they were really on there from hitting them at 120+

Looks like the weather is looking better for us saturday!
Are some of the F-car guys going to be joining us? I kinda got that impression from the other thread. I think my buddy from ohio is coming up with his S2K. I tried to get my friend to bring his Delorean, but they are having their own meet as well that day. Looking forward to it!
I think I am also going to hit the sat morning car show at 14 and woodward at autozone too before hand if anyone else is in that area.

I'm still working on the wife, however, some family things have come up on Saturday and Sunday. :-/

I hope the forecast for Saturday improves daily like it did last week. As of right now, it looks like high of 73 and isolated thunderstorms.

Mike

Weather seems to be holding for Saturday 66 and partly sunny. Any plans of having some lunch before departure to Hells run? Bakers is nice for lunch and has plenty of large tables to fit all of us. Hope to see everyone there.
