Mile Marker One 4/10/10 - Miami Dade Airport

The Mile Marker One is similar to the Texas Mile or the Bonneville Salt Flats where you can try to achieve your top speed in 1-Mile and shut down in a 1/2-Mile. This event is created for performance enthusiast - Welcoming Motorcycles, Performance Street Cars, Race Cars and Land Speed Racers.

Spectators enjoy seeing the cars and motorcycles on the track and visiting with the participants in the paddock. There are onsite concessions to enjoy while at the event. For more details, see the rules and regulations section for participants and spectators.

Get off the highway and come out to Mile Marker One. It is like running on a straight 1 1/2 mile section of open highway without the fear of tickets and jail time. A High Speed Shoot-out and Land Speed Racing Venue that compares to the likes of the infamous Bonneville that beckons one to "Drive in Your World, Race in Ours"!

I will definitely be attending with a large group. Fivestar Autoworx together with Strasse Forged will be bringing out some of our cars for everyone to enjoy :biggrin: Not sure how many of us will be participating yet but we will all come out for this great event! I will try to setup a nice drive down to the event and everyone is welcome to join! Details will be posted soon.

Yes I will be bringing my NSX as well my buddy's C6 (vey modded) and another Hennessy Viper.

Thing is that 99% of NSX on SOFLA are stock, oh wait, some have "exhaust" ... pipes lol ...

Armando's NSX was the only one that could go do "damage" to pretty much 99% of those cars ...

This is true...there are alot of cars that are pushing over 1000+ hp that hit well over 200mph in one mile. These are shop cars of course.

This is about having fun and seeing what our personal cars will do. :biggrin:

Here's what ~550WHP will do in ~half mile:

Oversized tires so actual vehicle speed was sure to be higher. Let's just say it took longer to stop than it did to accelerate. Of course this was performed on a closed course. You guys be careful!!!

Attended the Top Gun Run yesterday

A Ford GT was the fastest in the Mile @ 248 MPH!. Obviously it is highly modified.

The yellow NSX (Danny) did not run.

I have a few pics and will have to figure out how to post.
