new car suggestions

It depends on what you mean by "Bang" for the buck.. Are you taking value, speed, handling, luxury?

Maybe a used Miata with a bunch of upgrade parts (there are plenty available) would make for a fun little runabout.

If you just want straight line speed a used Camaro with upgrades (again, quite plentiful) may do the trick.

As for new cars you may be stuck with something like a Kia Rio. I've actually driven one before (don't ask) and it definitely has no "Bang" in any of the above categories. No offense to any Kia owners in the forum...

sorry, i mean all around performance. i currently have a 94 Z28(along with my 91 nsx) but it guzzles a little too much gas.

doesnt have to be new. i mean like a early 90's bmw, or maybe an integra, or an 80's porsche or something. as long as it's under 10k and doesnt guzzle gas, so no 72 blown novas (not that could be had for 10K)

Pre '99 Miata. Easy on the gas bill, not as "man-ly" as a Z28. But should corner better.
Lexus SC300 5spd. Can get a Toyomoto turbo at a later date if you like. Great sleeper car.

That all I can come up with for Under $10k

Personally if I only had 10k to spend, I would probably get an Accord or a Civic and do nothing to it. Just drive it to the supermarket and to work :)

If you want something that can be made fast that is cheap, then go with a 944 turbo. No way you will get an 80's 911 for under ten grand. 944's can be made fast and more cheaply than other porsche's.

Sorry, I gotta go with the Prelude again on this one.

You can get great deals on 4th Gen Maximas ('95-'99). It's basically the same throughout the years, except for a few cosmetic characteristics.

For a Malaysian built car, i'd suggest the <B>Juara Proton</B>.

Check out the low costs:
NEW - Malaysia 51,000.00 RM = <B>USD$13,421</B> (AUD$17,384)
2nd-Hand '01-02 - Malaysia 28,000RM = <B>USD$7,368</B> (AUD$9,543)

Comes with a 1.6l engine, front wheel drive.

Surprisingly it's very rare due to it's "exotic" looks. Check out it's sales in Malaysia:
2001: 768 units
2002: 612 units
2003: 318 units
2004: 950 units

And the Juara Proton has BLING potential: Just imagine how great one of these would look with a huge wing, spinners and 'huge' 14" rims. :p :D

It's the type of car Mr.T from the A-Team would consider. ;)

Their sales pitches have been "Asia's Answer to BMW" and "Daring to Change". Right...... :D

Anyway... i dont want to take this thread off-topic... back to <B>diablo2469</B>'s problem.
